Hopefully the world of outlaws officals decide to look the other way an let the drivers sort it out. Besides they would gain fans too. I'm not saying start some fake WWE crap but let them take care of things their way. Heck about the only good thing in napcar is watching the replay of the 1979 Daytona 500. So I say let them fight hockey style, when one hits the ground separate them and send them back to their pits

No 2 minute penalty box. Just 2 rows for hooking his a** into the wall.

I hope you're joking. It should be about driving & mechanical skill, not whose the best fighter.

I amazed by the drive that Steve and Sammy still posses.
There aren't too many people in their fifties who have the desire, a fire in their belly, to succeed like these guys do.
I wish I had the opportunity to see them race more often...
|
So true Hanity!! Those two are fierce competitors, and regardless of age, have the desire to try hard to win every time they go onto a race track. JMO.

Awwwww Steve's just mad that his kid doesn't have half the talent that Sammy's kid has.

And I don't see any Chili in Kraig's bowl...... Kraig is a one-hit wonder who drives one kind of car - Kevin can drive anything....

I would take a Knoxville National before a bowl of chili.

I don't know what's going on, but Kraig just isn't the same since his stint in NASCAR. It's too bad because he showed a lot of promise before moving on. He's had a few different opportunties since he came back with not much success. It's too bad. Seems like a good kid.
Kevin is real talented but is inconsistent. That's what happens when you go from runing a midget to an ARCA car to a sprint car to a Nationwide car and back to a sprint car. From a selfish standpoint, I wish he'd stay in a sprint car. I'm sure he'd be one of the best if that was the case. But I'm rooting for him to make it in NASCAR if that's what his dreams are.

Sounds like it, go read about it on ibracn.com. Enjoy watching all three of these guys, but if Steve did grab Sammy by the throat, Steve is gonna need a $$$$ fine and maybe a suspension. No one should ever be allowed to do this.
|
If Sammy did for a fact run down to the scales to meet Steve, he probably had something on his mind other than a congrats comment. While Steve had every right to not only grab Sammy by the throat, but to kick his ass just a little bit. I am not a Sammy hater, I sure don't think he is lilly white when it comes to racing tactics. Sammy was in the wrong for leaving his pit area to confront Steve.

Did anybody see Steve swerve towards Sammy as he came off the track??? Pretty hard for Sammy to say anything to Steve while he was going to the scales.. I heard that as soon asSteve got out of his car, he ran over to Sammy and grabbed him by the throat.. Not a real class act.. I believe Sammy will get his turn, and Steve will not like it.. I think Steve is getting tired of seeing Sammys tail..

Not that I really want ot get into this debate, but as I stated earlier. I don't know if anyone remembers Farmer's City. Tiny Tiny track, I was there for a race when Kraig was about 2 years in. Kraig was getting purposely ran off 1 and 2. I was in the pits and heard Steve say to Kraig, "You got to learn to hold your ground." I didn't hear him say, let's go to the scales and get into a fight.
All I can say is, I think Kevin has handled himself well in alot of racing situation. His dad is not helping him out in those situation. What if it was hard racing and Steve was doing his damnest to not slide it up too far and hit Kevin. Then after was going to wait a little bit and go over and say sorry and see if Kevin felt it was a racing deal or not.
I am not thinking there have been too many situations were Sammy went over to say 'sorry, I thought I cleared you.' but I guess I don't know

"'sorry, I thought I cleared you." or the word "sorry" for that matter likely have never been uttered or entered the mind of Sammy Swindell.

Why is it thats the only argument anyone ever has when talking about this kids success? He started on the front row of a race after it rained for 4 straight days. Im by no means saying i could win the race, Hell i couldn't make the E Main. Im just saying if it was your typical Knoxville Nationals track on saturday night (something that actually takes a little tallent to run on not just holding the pedal down and turning left) he would have run about 15th from the front row like he does most other nights.

This is the winner list, go to the drop down to the right and it gives every Qualifier, where started and finish. to ever be in the A main.
Looks like only two people have ever came from 14th and that is as far back as anyone has won.

What everybody is forgetting about Kraig starting up front during the nationals is the reason why he started on the front row. Remember the beauty of Knoxville is that you must have a good WEEK to run in the big show. And a GREAT WEEK to start on the pool. Everybody else ran on the same track all week they could have started up front.

Damn, I have another point I forgot. Many Many people on here get Quoted as saying, "Knoxville's points make it so only to the 'CREAM RISES TO THE TOP". I have heard that 1000 times. That is why it is a 4 day points show. You get front row you earned it. You wreck in your heat, trying to pass a bad driver, then you have your time to fall on. Atleast start front row of the B main. Then point it out and get alot, of what was wrecked, back.
I hear it all the time on this board, the cream rises. Well, never blame someone, for racing on the same track. The points give it and I have never heard anyone ever complain about how it all ends up, on the points.
but I guess I am just talking AT someone who thinks starting Front Row is just given to a racer at Nationals. That is the hardest Front row to EARN. Kinda like I eraned this thing all week, now it is up to you behind me to take it, like racing is suppose to be!
