I cant believe Paul would get any consideration. Hes been in all the good rides ( 20,83,6,11h) with below average results. KKR get someone that will stand on the gas like Tyler Walker, Kerry Madsen, Bulldog, Dobmeirer, Herrera, ect...

Randy,
Your not very educated are you? Paul had the most wins ever in a season for anyone that ever drove the 11h, was only in the 6 car for the final 3 1/2 months of the year with basically no crew-chief, and we all know the history of the 20 car in general. He still had at least 2 wins both seasons he was in the 20 car, so how does that stack up to the last guy that was in it? I don't really have any stats on the 83 car, but it must not have been too bad, since Roth had him drive last year at the gold-cup.
For you to come on here and run your mouth about something you obviously know little about makes you look rather foolish. Paul can still wheel a sprint-car with the best of them. From what I saw, he had some pretty good runs down in Florida the last couple weeks, and I think that was in a local PA car.
KKR obviously is taking their time to name a replacement driver, and if it happens to be Paul, I think they have made a very wise decision. Until something official is announced, why dont you just relax and enjoy the sport. If you find it hard to relax, then why don't you at least keep from degrading people you obviously know very little about. Why not keep things positive instead of trying to slander people's names. In the long run, it will make you look like a better person also.

Nice points dirtracer84; Paul can drive and he seems like someone that will not be an embrassment on or off the track.
Regardless, I believe McMahan and Saldana are close friends from their early years in the WoO. Combine all of that with Paul's reported plan to run an "true outlaw style" schedule (without strong commitment to run for points anywhere) and it would make perfect sense to believe Paul would be the favorite to serve as a fill-in when needed.

just because you don't care who is in the car, doesn't mean others of us on this board can't speculate who will be in the car.
Think Paul McMahon would be a good fit in the car. It would be nice to see what he could do in a well-funded car (20 car excluded).

The don't think the original poster is a douche... it's someone else. I'll leave it to the forum to decide who I'm referring to.
So, by your extreme logic, we as sprint car fans shouldn't care at all who fills in a high-profile ride? WOW.
If we won't be the driver (HUH????)... we have no opinion? 1st amendment rights don't exist in your little world?
Talk about someone needing a life... take a long look in the mirror! Going all "keyboard commando" on a silly thread on a message board... go Channellock and GET A GRIP.

I hate the people on here that complain when you bring up something sprint car related. How dare we speculate and voice our opinions on paint schemes on a site dedicated to sprint car fans! I get sick and tired of the morons that get upset with people who want to converse about sprint car racing.

Short1988, they all come and go on this message board and have since Allan started it many moons ago (I believe 1998). I know, there are several of us that have been here from the begining and we can always tell who is fixing to get the right rear and thumped from the message board.
There are some that are just a few of the ones who get mad when you don't stay on topic of sprint car and there are those wondering why you bring up a topic that concerns sprint cars. Just parr for the course of todays kids and the internet.

I heard from a very reliable sorce that Paul got the ride. Paul and I were roomates for about a year and a half before he moved to Oroville to be with Jan. He's a good driver, he thinks with his brain. Several of the drivers that were mentioned on this board for possible consideration for the 91 car, some of those drivers think with their enflated egos. This is my opinion. I feel its wrong to put other drivers down by name. If you can not think of something good to say about another person, don't say anything at all!

Tyler was in Florida because he had Super Bowl tickets he sold them when the Kahnes asked him to come to the track and then they changed their minds and didn't let him race. I am not sure how that makes him a gold digger.
Congratulations to Paul McMahan on getting to fill in until Cody is better.
|
RDDS, wondering who you got your info from? Before you start bashing a team over changing their mind you should do some research and get your facts right. Gold digger in this case would fit. Tyler, who was still in Cali at the time, heard about Cody getting hurt grabbed the next flight to Florida showed up at the track un-announced and assumed he had a good shot at getting the ride. When he showed up in the pits he quickly learned that would not be the case..........and Yes, the 91 seat is Pauls until Cody is healed up. Congrats Paul, well deserved!

Naw...Tyler wouldn't do that to the Posse folks....would he?
|
What do you mean Tyler would not do that to the Posse fans! Did you watch his interview, he said he wanted to get back running with the outlaws full time and that is his goal. He said racing in PA. gives him that much more of an opportunity to realise his goal.. We all know after his ride was gone in CA. and no one out there offered him a ride he excepted the ride in PA which was smart on his part.. Don't forget the man is a opportunist, posse or not when a WoO ride come calling he is gone that is if anyone ever offers him a ride with the travelling circus..

Second that. I see Lucas wolfe might get the ride but Paulie Mac, come on. He's had his chances. Imagine what guys like Wayne Johnson or The Rockett Hockett would do if all they did was drive, or had TSR or KKR backing.

Paul has lead 90 consecutive laps at the half mile at Calistoga. Meaning he has three wins there... When the last time Tyler found victory lane at the half mile.... Tyler left the place where he had it the best.... To bad daddy cant buy a championship with the traveling Outlaws.... Have fun in Pa.....
