Mr. Jorski, this is DeeDee from Clinton Speedway.

You did have permission to run the 500, the 500 that is legal at okc or lawton. The issue here is that the tire you had on is not legal at either of those tracks per Lanny Edwards whom we contacted before making the decision. The tread is different and you know it. I can only assume that thats why you called Joe, but just failed to mention the difference in tread. I hate to have to DQ any driver, but rules are rules. Even Loren in Elk City will tell ya, he sells the tires but thier not legal. So with that said I hope everyone undetstands the whole story. I did pay you for last, even though i should not of payed a DQed car, you just didn't stop for the check. Have a Great Holiday!

If I didn't stop to see if I got paid I would still have my transponder I stood in the line my name or car was not in the stack of checks and as for the conversation on the phone the tire was discussed and Joe knows it had the exact same conversation with another front running driver he is also mad and can't believe the final decision . What's done is done no hard feelings just expressing my feelings on the issue . Good luck next year .

If you turned in the transponder they new you were there. So if there was a so called check you would of got it at that time. Maybe since you got a dq the person who was giving out the pay just assumed you did'nt have any money coming. I hate to hear this kind of stuff because Clinton is my favorite track to run at.

I do have your check in the stack to mail today, no sure why she didn't give it to you then. I hate to have anything like this happen, but hopefully you decide to come see us next year. Have a Great and Happy Holiday!

honestly, everyone knows that clinton is going to be sanctioned by IMCA and that the tire is illegal for IMCA. It was a chance you took and got caught, no one should be mad. It would explain the passing of other cars because the tires you were using are so much softer. The only way this class will continue to be successful is for good tech to happen all the time.

I cant see any promoter in Oklahoma allowing these tires and anyone in this class knows that

It's not a chance he took. He had the permission and a couple other did also!

Clinton isn't presently imca sanctioned , do we even know if it really will be ? I didn't take a chance . What's screwey is after the first call to madore across the track I was told by the offical it's ok u are legal so after they checked some other things on my car I started to get in to go load it I was told to wait and about 20 min after that the decision had changed dunno why everything changed all the sudden after being told it was ok just lots of miscommunication I guess u know I'm 31 now and sometimes I forget things maybe somethin just got forgot .

The way i see it is that Joe probably didnt know that the tire you called about was the super soft tire for the front of a sprint car. Its to bad you got dq'ed over a misunderstanding but if you had not been dq'ed it wouldnt have been right for the other 30 or 40 cars that were on the right tire.
We only got paid 20.00 for third in bombers which we fill should have been at least 50 or 60 dollars, and we will probably go back for more next year. Hopefully with SFS closing Clinton can get there problems worked out and we can all have a decent place to race.

Happy Holidays to all

Im sure Jorski is a good guy and probably correct about the miscommunication. did you explain to him the differences between the 2 tires? How big of advantage those softer 500 are?

I have yet to see the flyer for this race in question. But if it said IMCA or OKC rules 100% and they don't run that type of tire why would a person call and ask if they could run a different tire? Or why should any body answer the phone and say you could run another tire and piss off 40 other drivers?

I have but one thing to add to this. I drive the 37 factory stock. I did not finish because I lost a fan belt. Bad luck. Oh well. My stepson finished 3rd. The story is that the flyer said 100% legal imca stock cars would run with the factory stocks. The car that finished 2nd was a imca stock car but was not 100% legal. It had 10" tires and you have to have 8" tires on a imca stock car to be 100% legal. I asked Joe about this upstairs after the race and he said he told the guy he could run them for that race. I am not sure why he would let this go and not your deal.

Wish it would happen but you will never see all tracks with the same set of rules.

Jorski ive seen you out run alot of people and everywhere i go your up front so dont sweet that shit. First of all most of the people from around the elk city area are a bunch of little cry babies anyways. If you get beat go load up and go home gracefully. Second off why in the world wouldnt they just cancel that show anyways after the second try. I pulled all the way down 2 weeks ago and there was a large chance of rain that day and they waited for everyone to get there and then they decided to cancel and it wasnt even raining. Good luck to them keeping that deal going next year running it like that. Thats the problem with all promoters these day is they could give a fu$k less about anyone but there self and cant stick with what they say. Just my 2 cents so take it as you will
