I never got to meet Mr. Hudson myself but I have heard enough from my dad to know he was a great man.

For those of you who don't know, Gilbert was a driver of legendary proportion in the Lawton-Wichita Falls area.

It was neat to hear his stories about racing and life in general, he was a great story teller. He will be missed at our shop for sure. At least he's with his wife again he sure did miss her.

This is Gilbert's grandson Jesse Keith. I just wanted to get on here and say thanks to everybody for their kind words about my Grandpa. To Mr. Tyner who posted up above, I'm glad that you found out my Mom, Dad, and Wayne Nichols wanted to let you know that he had passed but didn't know how to get a hold of you. I hope that as many of his old friends can make it as possible. The graveside service will be Wednesday morning at 11 at Highland Cemetary in Lawton. He will be dearly missed by many people. If anyone has any questions or anything feel free to ask me and I'll get back to them as soon as I can. Here is the link to his obituary.

There is also a guestbook at www.beckerfuneral.com to sign for anybody not going to make it for the service
Thanks and he was truly one of a kind
Jesse

I would say to have him make a donation to Southwest. He wasn't on hospice care yet but Southwest helped take care of Luella, my Grandma before she passed. Please tell Ralph thanks and that Grandpa always talked fondly of him and I've gotten to hear so many great stories from when they raced.
