Western PA announcer, stat guy, and historian, Walt Wimer, has been trying for years to guys like Lou, Ralph Quarterson, and others on the ballot. This past year was the first time that Lou (or any of the others) ever made the final ballot. Lou did not get voted in from the final ballot list.
The greats of Western PA, guys like, Lou, Ralph, Ted Wise, Buddy Cochran, Gus Linder, Dick Bailey, and more that had great careers in Western PA and across the country, just seem to get no respect from the rest of the voters in various locations around the country.
