WORLD OF OUTLAWS BENEVOLENT FUND TO HOST SPECIAL LUNCH/AUCTION AT UPCOMING WILLIAMS GROVE SUMMER NATIONALS
On Saturday, July 25, the World of Outlaws Benevolent Fund will host a
Benefit Lunch at Williams Grove Speedway during the Summer Nationals.
The lunch will offer Sprint car fans the opportunity catch up with
current Outlaw drivers and bid a limited number of unique items all in
an effort to aid the organization that helps injured drivers.
The event will take place on the grounds of Williams Grove Speedway; in
the camping area just off of the road each of the haulers enter the
track. Lunch will be served from 12 noon to 1 p.m. and the items up
for auction will be sold between 1:00 – 1:30.
Items including wing panels and body parts from current Outlaw cars as
well as getaway packages to the 2009 World Finals and the 2010
Knoxville Nationals.
“The Benevolent Fund has a tremendous purpose and our goal is to
continue helping drivers any way we can in the future,” said Diane
Schatz, organization president. “We race all over the country and our
fans support us really well and that’s definitely the case when we come
to “the Grove”. The past two years we’ve had very successful golf
outings in Ohio during the Kings Royal week and this year, we felt like
offering a new event would get people excited.”
Lunch tickets will be available on-site for $5 and all racing fans are
encouraged to attend. The World of Outlaws Benevolent Fund has asked
all current Outlaw drivers to attend and be available to interact with
attendees during the event. Questions can be directed to Diane Schatz
and she can be reached by e-mail at [email protected] or by calling 701-282-8105.
