CONGRATULATIONS to Dustin Allen and Jon Herring on their wins tonight. Thats two wins in a row for Dustin Allen. He won at elk city March 21 also. Can't believe only 35 cars showed up. I am glad I didn't go. Its a little over 400 miles round trip for me. LETS GO RACIN!!

There was less than six cars in all classes besides the Limiteds (14 I think). The mods did only have 4 cars show up. Very sparse car count, but racing was pretty good.
Limiteds
86 Travis Johnson, 21 Johhny R., 09 Robert Elliot, 74, 85 Greg Deterding, 97p Scott Parli
The rest I dunno for sure but I believe the winners above were correct.
#85 Limited Mod!! THAT JUST HAPPENED!!!

with this kind of car count, the speeway will not have the doors open to much longer.
I'm sure that the NASCAR race pulled some drivers and I know that Kip Hughes and Pat McVickers are doing the USMTS races this weekend. I think the biggest impact was made by the track, when the decision was made to raise the pitpass and lower the payouts. I'm not bashing here but we have raced a few times this year, all at different tracks, and still havent paid a 30.00 pitpass. If you know that your car count has already dropped from the year before, it seems like you would do something to re-generate the interest in the track. I knew from the results of the car show (3 or 4 cars total) that Enid was in trouble and when Lonnie Colville told me there wouldnt be any big shows at Enid this year because the drivers dont support the track... It takes a lot of people for a track to be successful and it starts with #1) FANS, #2) Drivers and Crews, and #3) The Track Staff.
There was more drama, at the track last year, then on a daytime soap opera.... Lets get the fans back in the stands, lets dont run off anymore drivers/crew, and let your staff be seen in a different light.
The only way this dont happen is if the promoters dont care anymore, they are the ones who put the bid on the track and signed a contract. If the promoters have a "we don't give a damn" attitude then why should anyone support the track? I never thought I would see the car counts so low at Enid!!!!

There were 19 mods at Meeker lastnight, with a few out-of-towners.

No there were not a good car count but I have to say it was nice to get out of there early with that wind. Man it got cold. But I have to say to every driver, fan, and promoter THANKS FOR YOUR GUYS HEART! We raised $431.50 from the drivers and fans the the promoters matched that for a total of $863.00 for Kenny Adams. Kenny if you read this you are in are paryers. 39 Was the total Jayson but it think we both said we would be lucky for the track to get 60. I guess next week will tell what the season will hold. No Texas exuse.

I agree with JayDad37 on some of the stuff but they are trying and it is our home track so i will try and support it until i either get screwed or treated unfairly. Car count will pick up. Alot of people were at texas this weekend for nascar. Even though the car count was low lastnight i was happy to be back at the track around all my friends. We had a blast.

A really good step in the right direction, my hat is off to ENID SPEEDWAY for matching the donation for Kenny Adams!!!!
I still believe this can be a very successful year at Enid Speedway but it will be up to the promoters!!!
Dustin, I agree with alot that you have to say also... Our hometown track can still be one of the best in the state but it cant all be settled by the drivers/crews paying more and getting less. The promoters have to do something also...Everyone knows that you cant race at Enid Speedway and earn a living, if we are racing here, its because we really like the track. I still believe that if Enid was to put on a sportmod show, it would grow bigger than the street stock nationals!!!
Hopefully the car count goes up, the promoters open their eyes, and all becomes happy again at ENID!!!!

I agree about the sport mods and I have talked about this to them and I get is it wont work. I really think if this is done right it would be a huge event. But im not the promoter.

The reasons that the drivers dont support the track is because the promoters dont support the racers.
Its sad to say but i would rather pull two hours away to race than race at Enid.We have ran at Brill Motor Speedway several times last year and last night.Every time i have been there Mark Brill has personally thanked us for being there.Lonnie Colville never thanked us for being there. It just shows a little bit goes a long way but there car count speaks for itself
