Thanks for the results. I'm definitely a wuss as I was a no show at the races today. Of course, in another time, I spent a miserable afternoon at Bristol Motor Speedway at a (then) Busch race that was actually stopped because of snow. Of course that was when I was younger!
Maybe next year for the McCluskey Classic.

p.s. On a different front, there's a post on the Tucson Raceway Park website dated December 24 from the promotor who has pulled the plug on the operation due to the economy, poor attendance, poor car counts, etc. It will be interesting to see if Keith Hall can keep the USA Raceway Park operation going in 2009 and beyond. Let's hope so.

Congrats to Jimmy Crawford, he looked fast all day. 16th to 6th in the A main. I heard he was running a 360. Anyone else in a 360?

Just got home late last night from Rocky Point.
Left Prescott early, met a friend at the track and we sat outside in the sun beside his RV waiting for the gate's to open.
The track got rough and the heats were tough..Kevin was in JJ's car and he got mixed up in a mess on the back stretch in the second heat and he never made it back out.
The main was great and Robert Ballou was a wild man.. At one point the car jumped ( literally) out from under him coming off of two and it ended up pointed in the wrong direction. It went under the big tires that marked the inside of the track and he never lifted! He than shot back on the track and only lost one spot. He had been in third behind Hockett, I think. Anyway he lost his rhythm LOL after that because he got wilder. Charles Davis looked good all night. Nathen played it safe on the bottom and Chad used a lot of patience coming from the back.
Johnny Herrera was in the lead, Hockett was hounding him with a few to go, yellow flag. Johnny was holding him off, another yellow with one to go. Herrera changed his line up about a 1/2 car length coming off of two, and it was the perfect thing to do and it won him the race. Johnny showed them all how a old pro runs a tough track. It was a very good race, entertaining to say the least.
Yes you are..LOL

He earned it too. I'm not sure how many 360's, Nathan High ran 4th in one. The 410's were restricted and it wasn't about H.P. anyway. A lot of the guys simply overdrove the track.

Check out these great pictures from Terry Shaw..http://www.abcmotorsports.com/08mccluskeybyterryshaw.htm The picture below was from the hot lap session.
