6. Ronnie Gardner
I believe thats right but not sure, it got pretty intense. Great job to everyone for putting on a great show, especially "rookie" Ronnie for his great run to the front.

Reports have two well known promoters in contact with USAC about a few shows at Victorville next year. Hope it happens with the PAS supposedly cutting back to 12 sprint car races next year.

Talked to Victorville today and I don't think they will have official Sprint results for awhile and when they do I don't know how accurate they will be. Oh well, had a great time, showed up Sunday and had a good run from 17th with a 360. I was surprised to see that KK was the ONLY Racer to show up from Ventura. The field could have been easy 40 + cars with a few VRA and Bandits cars. USAC showed up with 6 cars on Sunday!!! Those teams raced Sat. night at Perris and Sunday at V V. Those guys are racers!!! Glad they showed up and made it a show. 13 cars Sat. / 19 cars Sunday.

i didnt think it was a good show... first u had a dry dry dry slick track.. 2nd whoever put a rookie on the pole for his first race is an idiot.. he spins and takes out 6 cars... thats gotta be the dumbest call... u put a person on the pole and hes never raced a sprint car race..???

For a two day, "day show", the track was excellent. You want slick, go to a day show at Perris or Tulare. 2 weeks ago at Ventura was as slick & dusty as it gets...and that was 5K to win.

I holeheartedly agree 'twisterwest'. they held the 'A' main sprints for 45 min. reworking the track, and gave us ,as you stated an excellent track......proof of that was all the passing........perhaps Matt21 would enjoy pavement.Looking forward to the posting of next years schedule....

Heres the thing, they spent 30 or so minutes re-working the track and within 2 laps it was just as bad as it was before they re worked it so it was just kind of a waste of time, the track was gunna turn out the same wether or not they re worked it.BUT I do appreciate theyre effort.
Really my one main complaint was just the fact that the 04 rookie kid was allowed to start on the pole being it was his first race, I just wish the track, the kids family or the perkins of which they were renting the car from would have strongly suggested he start in the back. Instead he ruined atleast 3 or 4 peoples night on the very first lap.

I think That VictorVille Put together a GREAT show.... For Two straight Days Of Rain.. I dont think anyone could have done better.. We went We raced We finished.. well at least most of us... We all drew a pill for our position, . Hats Off to them for working their a$$es of to get er dun... Heck They even went out and bought a new Circular grader for the track, that thing was great..... MIKE and DENA worked their buts off.... I too look forward to the new schedule

matt 21,I'm pleased you recognise I was driving this race, bringing a 360 to race all those 410,you know I came just to play and have a good time...those guys went real fast.I've raced a number of day races and I agree with Crawford ,the track did the best they could to give use a safe to drive -fast track. If I called the shots ,we would have been allowed to hot lap a little to knock the marbles of the track .I didn't comment on the line-up,cause I don't dissagree, but every rookie gets his first chance. It didn't go well....I've seen veteran drivers mess up a start-messed up myself before so I'll choose to let it go..as far as running the bottom,I couldn't had a flat left front from the lap 1 crash so I tried my best to stay out of the way as the big dogs raced...did all 30 ,had a fun weekend...I do think Victorville could use some help keeping track of the running order/finishing...any volunteers? Ellertson and I have hearing problems, known them over 10 years. We're friends..nuff said......

Yeah, Dan and I have miracle ears and due to the loose rule on mufflers, we find it difficult to control the volume of our voices. No hard feelings Dan. I do have a couple of suggestions for next year's race.
1.) Throw out the pill pick for the starting line up for the main if only 12 cars show up. Why did we run heats anyways? (Yeah I know we drew 12, but still award points like VRA does or qualify).
2.) Don't make the Sprints pack the track both days.
Just my 2 cents worth...
ELBOWS UP, HAMMER DOWN...
