Just wondering why Schauer Const. did not sponser the B hobby class at Arlington Sat night. I see that they came down and did a trophy presentation for the rest of the classes but did not for the B hobby's. I know that the winner of the B hobby's did thank them for sponsering the night of racing, but nobody showed up to give him the trophy. Was it just a mistake or maybe bad sportsmanship?

Yep, seriously they have to let that go. They had too good of an engine for that class when 33 was in it, and he got claimed. That's how it goes.

Just to inform you all, Yes Schauer Const and Kens Excavating both sponsored the night. So stop blowing it all out of perportion. If the number 33 really wanted to hold a grudge he would. But im pretty sure he moved up to Stock Cars, and does not even care about what happened in the past. Im also sure he drove last Sat, and if he really wanted to, he could have retaliated. You guys start all these stupid rumors for no reason. Who cares if Ken's Excavating handed out the trophy, they also sponsored the night. Get your facts straight before opening your big mouths. Just curious BTW where is the 30S and 19K cars, you guys talk pretty big for a couple people who are not even racing this year.

Stop starting rumors, and if you do, be ready for retaliation. Im pretty sure the 33 car has friends that race in every class but sprints. How do i know cause im also in the pits every night. And im sure we are the ones that stay around every sat night till 3-4 am, where are you guys at. You have a prob come down and talk to us, we will be more than willing to talk to ya. If you have enough courage to come over to our pit stall.

Also Mr Lawn Enforcer, about the good engine thing, lol how would you know what was in that engine, you didnt build it. That motor had like 35 shows on it when he lost it, and it was nothing fancy at all. So you can just zip it about the good engine thing. Know your facts first, dont be a super fan from the stands and pretend to know it all.

I also believe that Schauer Const. and Kens Ex. are both sponsors on the 33 car.

How do I know it was a good engine!? It is pretty obvious how much power he had to blast by people, it may not have been fancy, but it had too much power for that class. He didn't win all those races with driving skill alone. If he won all those races without a good engine and it was apparently just good driving skills, then how come he isn't dominating the IMCA stock class? It still doesn't matter if they sponsored the whole night, they went down for every other trophy presentation, why not the B's? Answer that question for me-

Sincerly,

"The know it all SUPER FAN!" lol

So if it had 35 shows on it and it wasn't a great engine, why were they so pissed about it? If it was just a plain engine why were they be swearing up a storm in victory lane?

You saw the motor huh? Just because its all painted up nice and looks decent does not mean its a new motor. Its called a maintenance program, upkeep, taking care of stuff. Im also pretty sure he won the next week and got claimed again with a crap motor. It does not take motor to win Hobby B races, yea it helps but driving skills have a lot to do with it. And about the Stock class, you jump in one once and show me how you do. Its a whole new ball game compared to the B class. When you start racing then you can respond super fan. BTW Matt could have claimed last week if he wanted to, did he? no. So you can drop that grudge crap from the story. And im also positive Matt was not in the VIP Booth to hand out trophy's so why you include him in this BS story is beyond me.

And Bill, yes you are correct I put down the wrong number. Ill take the hit on that one.

why was every gasket in that motor brand new along with everything else if it had 35 shows on it !john bandemear (spell check ) built it and why do matts parents swear at brad every time he is leading (grudge)and matt cant claim because he needs to run 3 nights first, seems to me they are really poed yet including yourself i have been claimed and laughed everytime, all i ever had was a stock bore 350 with 882 heads and won 4 in a row while being claimed and that was when there was real compitition in that class, everyone thinks nobody knows anything, and by the looks of it you were on my website so now you know why im not out there this year

Let's get back to the #1 question here, you're just throwing random BS out there now to get away from the question. Why didn't they go down? (I don't mean Matt, I mean his parents) and also, why were they so pissed off the 2nd time he was claimed if it was just a "crap motor?" If someone is claimed, it's because your car is too good for the class. Someone isn't going to pay whatever the claim fee is just because they hate the person. And I never included Matt in the story, his parents. I know if I wouldn't do much if I just hopped in a IMCA stock car.

Ok so I have read all the posts and was at the races and also have a little knowledge on the situation. I don't think either side is really right in what they are saying in their posts. Who really cares anyway, right? I would probably be upset if I was Matt to. It is a well known fact that the class kinda ganged up on Matt towards the end of the year. He was doing well and nobody likes a constant winner in most cases. Did he have too much motor for the class.. maybe... but who is to judge. If your running a semi decent motor and everybody else is running pure junk it does not mean that he is running too much motor. When building motors Im sure the biggest concern is not making sure you down grade to what everybody else has. I believe he is justified in running what he had, however if your competition feels different, thats what the rule is there for. One motor I can understand. A wise man once said that the track champion should never go through the year and never get claimed once. The fact that he got claimed two weeks in a row was a little unjustified. I was down in the claim area for the first pull and think that maybe Matts mouth along with his crew got the best of him. Do you really blame him though, its the heat of the moment.? Matt is with out a doubt a good racer. His engines were not the only thing that got him to where he was. Matt is also not a dumb guy. He is very aware of all the talk that surrounded everything last year and even this year. His family is aware as well. If his family did not go down there on purpose, we will never know. I'm not sure if I blame them or not. The thing is if it was on purpose they should be smarter then that cause all it does is creates bad PR with all the circumstances that surrounds the situation. I guess if it were me I would have done anything I could have on a business sponsor standpoint to get down there knowing the buzz it would create if I didn't. The post on this site were not the only people that noticed. There were SEVERAL people in the stands that night that were buzzing with questions. There is one comment that was made by lawn enforcer that caught my eye. He said that somebody would ever pay the money to claim just because they hate the guy. That is completely untrue and I think you know that. There are bull$%$ claims going on all the time for different reasons. Grudges and dislikes are one of those reasons. Guys get caught up in their emotions all the time. I made a mistake by claiming in my class a year ago. I needed a motor bad. Was not sure I could race the next week without claiming one. When I went up to claim I didn't pick the one I thought was the best, I picked the guy I knew the least. I made a mistake. I should have just figured out the problem in my motor. After I wrecked my car I sold the motor back to him for the claiming price. Mr. BK19 ran into the back of me and got me turned last year. I got hit by about 5 cars on the way by. It caused about 2000.00 worth of damage. He didn't even come by to say he was sorry. It really ^%$&% me off since I have always respected Bill. My first intial instict was to claim him the next time I could. I wanted him to go through the cost like I did. Obviously I wised up and didn't. He probably didn't intend to wreck me. His car had a terrible push. Had I claimed, did I really think I was getting a motor that didn't belong in that class. I think not. It just goes to show and I'm not alone, people claim foir many different reasons including dislike, not just because they think the motor does not belong in that class. So I fully understand if Matts family is very bitter about the situations of last year even if they brought some on themselves, however, it would be a bad PR move business speaking if they did not go down there on purpose.

yeah and i have never been bashed into ever HA HA and the guys that do it always come up and say im sorry HA HA jeez i dont ever come up and get in peoples face when i get hit believe me i have spent my share to fix up damage from other drivers had to get the whole car restubbed once because of someones ill handling car and who ever you are ( never mind i figured it out JB)no i dont rearend people on purpose like others out there sorry if i did, if i would have claimed everyone that wrecked me i would have at least 40 motors in the shop but i dont have any cant afford those 383's and 406's in the hobby a class i do think there needs to be more claiming in all classes maybe we could afford to race all the time do i have to drop to b's again or what i have done pretty darn good for the equipment i have had to use i never had any decent motors cant afford it and wouldnt run it anyway dont have all the help like others either,it is a hobby class for petes sake where is it going to end way too much motor in the hobby classes and maybe the black flag needs to be used more often then there would be less wrecking of cars but they know you can get away with rough driving there thats all i have to say on this everyone has there own opinions and it wont change them have a great day i give up

Hey Bill....Hope you didn't mis understand what I was getting at. I was taking the blame for the things going through my mind. I was saying I was glad that I calmed down before doing something stupid. Getting across the point that there are a lot of reasons people claim other then they think a guy has such a great motor. I mean you no disrespect, however, if I crash a guy hard I would go over and lend a hand intentional or not. If I still had a problem with it would have talked to you. Also I was not trying to hide my identity. I would think I gave enough clues. Like I have said many times...heat of the moment....and I agree with you on everything else. This post was not about you and I, our situation was just an example of what I was talking about. I hope you get back out soon as I'm looking to get back out soon as well.

Farmer3X,

I know people do make claims because they hate the other guy, but what I meant is that they hate the other guy for how much he puts into his equipment. It's not based on pure hate alone, especially in Hobby classes since their isn't much money to work with in the first place. That's just my opinion.
