Aaron will give Rico problems. Courtney will also be strong it appears, and how about Thorson.

HL has some very strong teams. This is only first weekend and the team that wins will have few DNFs and be consistent all year long for the 60 races. With Kyle and Corey it added another two top cars that each showed they can also have problems . Rico will be the favorite but Tanner with Stevie helping and Aaronand Tyler healthy it will be a fun year.

My son's prediction prior to the start of the year was A-aron winning the HL title.  Gonna take a while to shake out so we will see!

Looks like a very good prediction.  Remind us if you nail it.

I would like to see a Texan take it and A-aron is gonna be a contender for sure, but I can't bet against Rico and the resources of TSR for a title run.  And I think Tanner Thorson will be the car to beat on some tracks with the coilover setup.

So here's my prediction and we'll see how it lands:

1.Rico

2.A-aron

3.Thorson

4.Sunshine

5.Gio

Rico looked good last night. Brad broke while leading and there were several yellows. Aaron didnt deliver an ass whoppin and  had the misfortune of not making dash leaving him vulneable to possible problems. With the drag racers 45 min away several high profile racers and crews attended plus appeared carnival was there also. I undestand the race got over at around 10 oclock their time but I enjoy watching sprint cars but the show was over 3+ hours which when they are on live TV a lot of extra time to fill and I like open wheel only but race time versus fill time with 30+ cars will take some planning. Thursday or any mid week day arent going to allow many promoters a chance to pay $12k to win with out getting help from streaming. Track prep is a challenge without support class but I enjoy any HL or WOO event.

High limit will atleast have a good points battle thru the year in my opinion. WoO is probably already over because nobody else is consistent enough to beat gravel.

Not trying to be a smartass, but what resources does Rico now have that he didn't have before?

He certainly wasn't underfunded before so I see your point, perhaps no change.  I just looked at it from the perspective that he's got everything he had last year, crew etc.  plus more money from TSR's sponsers. That can't hurt.

I will agree maybe he won't be knocking on as many doors, and making phone calls since he is no longer the car owner, so maybe that gives him more time to concentrate on driving?????

As far as equipment and funding, he had what all the big boys had already.

Looks like the 1st two are close. Courtney is going to have to improve quite a bit to surpass Gio.

Rico great ambassadore to all of sprint car racing. If I remember right He tried Nascar many have Steve Sammy Doug all came back to dirt. Kahne Blaney Scrader were some of the top drivers who made it

There were a few kids by the name of Gordon, Stewart, and Larson that barely managed to make a living driving NASCAR as well. wink
