DD and Larson, and others, got a serious screwjob tonight. They let a few guys run out fuel, but when Macric does, magically a red for fuel is thrown. Smells like s_it to me.

You can surely admit that your guy got beaten by the better team tonight. The caution came out for another car stopped on the track. Macri lead the last scored lap and he did not stop until the red came out. At that timethere wasthree or four cars stopped. Kyle started on the pole, had the lead and got passed. He the chased Macri for eighteen laps before losing his head as he does sometimes when he can't catch someone. Maybe he can win one at Hagerstown on Thursday. I believe he said he will be there. On side note TJ Stutts may had something to say to Larson after the race. That was a good save by Stutts after Larson downright punted him.

Did we watch the same race? Larson started on the pole and took off, but Macri passed him and led for a long time. Larson couldn't catch Macri and spun out while in second. Larson restarted in the rear and worked his way all the way back up to 2nd. The yellow was thrown for a car stopped on the track. It was changed to an open red for fuel. Macri led the last lap so he restarted in front and walked away from Larson, winning by about a second while Larson was fending off another car trying to pass him.
What did you see?

Another thing here. I am going to have to watch the replay to see how many cautiion laps were run when DD ran out of fuel. I know they had until he got back out and at point they had no obligation to wait for him. He then went out and didn't line up where he knew he should. They then ran two more laps to get him lined up. The guy beside me said he is trying to get the others to run out also. It is possible if DD doesn't run out no one does. There were fewer than four laps left when the others started running out.

One of these days maybe they will put on the bigger fuel tank. I guess some of them haven't lost enough money yet. Prime examples this year are the 69 car in Vegas and Dietrich last night. Imagine towing all the way to Vegas from PA and losing because you didn't put a litter bigger fuel tank on. They act like the few gallons more is going to keep them from winning.....How's it working for them?
The winners have the bigger tanks...Gravel, Larson, Macedo, Sweet

Home town cookin' at Port - incredible run by Larson back to second. Open red for that? handed the win back to Macri
And I'm a Port and Macri fan, but that was just wrong

But I thought there was no passing at Port? At least thats what a couple posters have said here in the past.
Yes I was being sarcastic

One thing with Larson starting in rear. It was a good run, he had some restarts to help and after the long green flag run with Larson chasing Macri they were lapping cars at a torrid pace. With guys who dropped out to that point and a third of the field lapped Larson really started 12th or so.

They are called SPRINT CARS for a reason! Fuel Stops for 30 lap races are bull, put on larger fuel tanks. And whats the deal with "open reds?" Add fuel and that is it. No adjustments allowed. Lets get back to what sprint cars are made to do, race! You want pit stops for sprint cars, go to the Little 500 at Anderson IN.

I watched the entire race. A few things.
1. Tracks and officials could put an end to this whining and crying if they would just make public, pre-race, their formula for red-flag fuel stop. I feel about 90% confident the red flag was was only thrown when the threshold was reached. (it appears they miscalculated that threshold, but I still think they had one) I don't think they "screwed" DD. DD took his chances. I don't think they "favored" Macri---when that yellow came out, ironically for a car running out of fuel, they hit their window. Maybe I'm just assuming this because the WoO does a very good job of identifying these thresholds?? I'm hoping at the very least it is communicated to the drivers and teams so they can plan for fuel accordingly? It seems dumb to complain about it when they all made their beds. Macri was not favored IMO, he just got lucky someone else ran out completely first.
2. Macri can go up and pass Larson all he wants for the first 1/2 of the race. Have you guys not watched the movie 100 times now where Larson continues to get faster and faster as the track wears out and the fuel load diminishes? Not saying Larson was going to run him down and pass him if it goes green-white-checkers, but I've watched this too many times to just "assume" because Marcri held him off for 15 laps, it was all his and Larson was not coming back. LMFAO. That race wasn't over if not for all of the other circumstances. That said, Macri ran a great race and had a car deserving of a win.
3. DD wasn't winning that race, so I couldn't give a flying !#@$ if he took fuel illegally, or got "screwed." (Per Brent Marks--he should have been black flagged---I don't really care. He was not going to be a factor in that race)

I saw that comment. I guess Brent should know the rules better than any of us. Based on that interpretation no one who runs out of fuel is allowed to restart a race.

After all the absurd favortism Lyle gets with his own series, the tables were turned last night and the fanboys are up in arms. How many times have we seen them allow a couple of cars run out of fuel but eventually throw a red once it looks like half the field will? Happens all the time. To cry about Lyle getting screwed is hilarious. Next we'll be complaining about Sweet.

Get out of here with your logic! Lol..no doubt unfortunate timing, but the flag had to be thrown.

Can always count on you to bash HL. High Limit Derangement Syndrome is strong in you.
Does the "absurd favoritism" you cite apply to Macri last night? Asking for a friend.

My favorite line during last night was....and I quote Earl - we are going to say Macri spun to avoid the flipping car. It sure didn't sound like that when they interviewed him in victory lane.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Rico - 9 wins
Donny - 0 wins That is right the big fat zero!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

He was headed right for a car lying upside down on the track and barely missed it. I think most of us in Zerafoss' place would appreciate the effort. Did Macri get lucky with the fuel deal, yes. Bottom line if you were there and watched it, Macri wanted it more than Larson. Their cars were close enough that on that night if they switched cars the result would have been the same.
