Some things I would like to see at the Nationals again..
1. I think the Knoxville Nationals is worthy of a Fly Over on Saturday. Even the Apache Helos were impressive back when they did that. Even some vintage war planes would be cool... Something!!
2. Katie Spriggs doing the Stars & Stripes. Has she been gone the past couple of years? Katie Spriggs is to Knoxville, what Jim Nabors was to Indy in my opinion.
3. The 1/4 scale Nationals... Man I used to like watching them race
4. Budweiser Clydedales.... Those are always an impressive sight.
Any others?

I went once amd the 1/4 scales are burned in my memory as very cool.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

I agree, Katie was the best. However she won't be back.
Flyover would be cool, and was told the cost involved but I don't remember what that was. $10k+ I think.
Can we do a pit crew challenge? What team can change out a front end fastest, or change a top wing, tires etc.
Is it time to redo and enhance victory lane? Add special lighting, raise the plateform.
I'm looking forward to see how much better the Knoxville App is. I think it will all be ran through My Race Pass.

I miss the campground tractor shuttles. Such an easy way to make it back and forth to the track form several different campgrounds as well as trips to Walmart and such. I'm not sure why they went away but I'm sure there was a reason.

I miss the bus ride among other things from that era of the Nationals. I digress.

Any particular reason she won't be back? I've missed her the last couple of years myself.

I think last year was the first time since i've been going that the walls around the track didn't have a fresh coat of white paint. I always thought that really made the place pop on the first night of racing during the Nationals.

They don't have the tractor shuttles, but they still run shuttle buses. Air conditioned, faster than the tractors and harder to fall off of if you spent too much time at Dingus.

The issue with shuttles now is some wizard decided to turn highway 14 into one lane each way with a turn lane instead of two lanes each way. That killed traffic after the races. We've stood and waited for a shuttle bus for an hour or more. Some nights we never even got one. It became faster just to walk. Now we just pay for a parking spot within reasonable distance and get back to our campground pretty quick.

I know this is about, what we would like to see back at the Nationals, but one thing I love, is Wage Aungers commentary. Tony and the rest of the crew do a great job.
Wade I think 1st showed up when Kendra was still around and he's been around every year since.

I was only lucky enough to see one wet tshirt contest in my life. I was much younger. I still wish they would have those. I mean...come on. We have all these Only fans and other pay sites. Raise some money, round up some ladies, cover the kids eyes, and lets have some fun again. Make Tshirts Wet Again.

Redo victory lane? Yes, tear down all of the crap that is there now. It blocks parts of the track from the spectators on the backstretch, where all knowledgeable fans sit. Raise the platform? Never, see the first answer.
Special lighting? Yes, it could be portable (as could be some sort of stage) and it could all be moved into place while the cars are at the scales. (Hopefully, someone is checking the weight, as opposed to a recent race elsewhere.
Also, Katie Spriggs has a great voice, but they should have limited her to just The Star Spangled Banner. When she sang Oh! Canada and Advance Australia Fair they sounded identical to our national anthem. If she sang Inna Gadda De Veda or Enter Sandman they would also sound alike to the others.

Seems like the number of vendors and food trucks have been down in recent years. I also miss the HyVee food tent, especially for breakfast.

What I'd like to see back at the Nationals? Me!!! I'm still looking for that elusive person to share driving and expenses. Meanwhile streaming will have to do.

Any of you Veterans remember the little old Lady that used to drive around the Camprounds selling Homemade Pies, Cookies, Brownies, all kinds of baked goods out of the back of her station wagon. Back then it was probably $5 at most for a Strwberry Ruebarb Pie!
