WG would certainly choose the outlaws because that's about the only time they draw a crowd anymore. I would think Port would choose HL since all-star shows do really well there. Lincoln would be wise to choose HL also but since they didn't have any all-star shows this year I don't know. PA speedweek wouldn't be affected since it is unsanctioned. Honestly I don't know why HL can't just stay the way it is (big paying mid-week shows for Larson) and leave the allstars alone.

I'm not sure about Lincoln since Gobrecht who also has stake at Baps and waited a long time to get an outlaw show there would jeopardize losing that and Lincoln didn't have an All Star date this year but two outlaw shows.

I believe Knoxville has traditionally did what they thought was best for them and racing in general. Off the top of my head they've had at least (3) separate sanctioning bodies run through the track this past year, WOO, USAC, and ASCOC excluding the flat trackers.

They definitely had both the WoO and USA in 1989, I don't think they had the NST in 2006. Knoxville, Eldora and to a lesser extent Husets can do what they want because they pay by far the most money with their big shows.

Like Pete said, streaming is only going to get bigger and more inluential.
Between the outlaw points and all star points, there are more really, really good winnable teams than ever
Running the top 10 in points from HL/All-Stars + regional guys - that's a great show...
Same w/ WoO
As long as they dont schedule on top of each other in the same part of the country, I think this works
The real question in my mind is the DirtVision / Flo situation. Can they both make good money and play nice in this new time of major sprint car racing or is one going to take over the other?

In the interview Brian Carter head of WRG in area auto racing news it doesn't sound like their going to be playing nice. Their going to be competing for the same drivers and tracks.

Correct and that's why I'm a little concerned. This is not a situation coming from need, the WoO we're doing fine as the top group and the All Stars were doing fine as the regional series. This is a situation coming out of Flo wanting to have something it doesnt currently have, a big time winged sprint car weekly series. I don't think they really care whether the sport can support 2.

It was said on Hoseheads before and it is correct. So I will repeat it and try and see if I can understand.
Drivers and owners dislike the way the WoO is conducting business and treating them. So the idea is to start another series, and then guess what? They all run the series the same was as the WoO runs a series. Lock in Drivers, have a point fund, tow money, a national schedule. Gee it seems like someone else what doing the exact same thing ,but we can do it the same way only better.
This situation reminds me of the business I am in, and that is the tri axle dump truck business. Some jobs require us to work through a broker to work on a job. I despise brokers by the way, but I digress. Everyone wants to be a broker because most brokers own few trucks but a job might need 20 to 30 or more trucks and a brokers can just sit there and collect money by the hour on each truck he doesn't own or maintain.
I said all that because it seems like maybe Larson and Sweet want to be the head of the sanction group. That way they can get all the Hoosier money and official this and that rights money, the biggest piece of the sanction fees. And of course the golden nugget of the streaming money.
And speaking of streaming. How is Flo going to support and own a full series without the monthly or yearly subscription fees going up? If they drop races because they will use that money for their series . Then a person could get less races for their money. This battle is going to require money. Where is it coming from? Raised subscriptions or higher ticket prices?
Maybe not at first because of trying to win the early battles, but running in the red won't win the war long term.
It could get tough and costly for.fans and racers in the future.

Jr A hockey across Canada streamed on HickeyTV for the last several years. HockeyTV broadcast many different leagues age groups and skill levels available to anyone who subscribed. Flo bought HockeyTV sometime since the end of last hockey season. They seem to be growing and buying every streaming platform they can. The hockey portion is a no cost to them effort to broadcast as all home teams video their own games and feed the stream. So no employees or equipment invested. Pure profit from the ice. I had Thought, and probably incorrect, that Flo was some ambitious race fans who saw an opportunity but it's starting to look like a national company looking to replace old fashioned television which makes me think there are some silent behind the scene investors bank rolling things far beyond what the actual business is generating at this time. Speculation on some of these thoughts? Yes! Seems they have money to invest that they couldn't possibly be generating at this time.

I believe the short answer is Flo leverages this to increase viewership and incoming revenue. Then they don't have to raise prices.

I can see WRG sending out the notice already. You don't want your date, we have tracks all across the country that will be glad to take it. The all stars never have and never will have that. I think the biggest player in this deal is Flo, what part do they have in this. Ohio speedweeks cannot survive without the backing of a series. I would love to see USAC and the wingless sprints move in. Sprint cars without wings is very good racing. It may take time to take hold but after 2 to 3 yrs i think you would see it as strong as the winged cars. Remember, the topless cars don't race for big purses. Pay them what the all stars were paying and you'll get good fields.
