I was surprised to see that they even made up that race in the morning. I know you want to give the fans their moneys worth and 10G is still a good payday, but it seems pretty meaningless when you have a 175G to win race coming up later in the day.

It's more about the huge profit the track can make with more than 10k seats sold and only having to pay for a normal Outlaw purse. This is not criticism, Eldora pays great purses, but to cancel and refund all those fans would be giving up a few hundred k in profit if I had to guess.

Why wouldn't they run the race? 10,000 or so people took off work to travel and see the races. Why let them down?

Grabbed another gear and ran away from Schatz on the wall at end. Balls of steel.
Crowd chanting Posse afterward was particularly touching.
Larson who? Marks has a better batting avg than 2020 Kyle.
They don't even know how to spell sprint car
much less chromoly...http://www.ycmco.com

Is the Silva 57 dynasty starting to mirror the Weikert 29?
Silva 57 team in 2020 matched or eclipsed the Weilkert 29 1985 season greatness in big wins.
Is the Silva 57 team in 2022 turning into the 1987 Weikert team or do they turn it around?

Kicked around on the Outlaw tour??? He passed more cars than anybody on tour for two years. He just has his qualifying program right for the first time in about 5 years.
|
I meant no disrespect, just referring to his points finishes back in 2018/2019. I'm a fan and saw the improvement after being on the road for 2 years so I'm not surprised he is one of the best in the country right now.

Interesting comparison. Time will tell. I wouldn't count them out at Knoxville though.

Somebody delete this entire thread please. Dont need Napcar sniffing around and any rumors flying about Marks to that god awful racing.
I cant stop thinking about how it would've looked had Marks came to Huset's for the HBN in June. Next year we'll see him I bet.

I think the only similarity between the the two is that eventually other teams catch up. Larson is still winning just as the Weikert car did after their run but a few teams have stepped up their game since Larson's 2020 dominance. He is still going to win but he just went o fer in Speedweek and Edora that would not have happened in 2020.

Seems like picking the races you really WANT to run is working out great for Marks, just like it did for Dewease....
Quality over quantity... TRUE outlaws!

They're all getting older, but the idea of picking & choosing worked great for them
You don't like Dewease, do you?

And not one word about the DD interview. Nice job by Dewease, he runs that bottom like no other at the grove. You'd think others would watch his entrance in the corners, he makes up huge ammounts of track position on each lap he hits his marks. The dash, I saw new LR rubber on marks and dewease.

Watching and replicating Dewease's line are two different things via driver input and car set up. I'd imagine if it were that easy, everyone would do it.

It's none of our business, but I think the answer to your question might be the same reason I haven't seen his wife at all during this run he's been on. Seemed odd to me. Could be wrong. Hope I am.

Youre correct. Heard it from a few sources and you can tell from social media pages.

Yeah I figured. Sucks for Brent whatever the reason is. Pretty wild that he goes on a historic run amidst going through something that.

Word floating through the pits at Williams Grove is Allen Murray might be leaving the 19 car as well. If true that's quite a blow to a team and driver that has been on top of the sport this year

Wow.... that doesn't make sense. Murray has been with him for years and he is having a career season. You would think Alan would be elated???
