So after TMac's 360 win last Saturday at Knoxville he said his motor was the "Fastest legal motor here in the pits"..... Anybody want to enlighten us and what he is implying?

That his legal motor is the fastest of the legal motors...

Coming from a guy who once said he hated racing 360's. Take it for what it's worth.

Indeed. Need Mike back, he's good.
I know the new fella is trying but he sounds like Chumlee from Pawn Stars.

At least good guy Jamie Moyle got credit for a strong legal motor. To come from 8th to second in one lap takes a great start or jump. Terry passed Clint clean and deserved to win. TheASCS head rule helped save expensive head work and rather than enforce the rules were dropped. Age slows down the best and with two sons racing 410s makes sense to run a 360 . He is one of the few non Outlaws that has been able to use others peoples money to race full time his whole carreer. Lenard was still one of the best mechanics in the pits

Ca has a few illegal 360 motors . When was the last time officals checked one? Ask Charlie Fisher.

If there's that much cheating going on in the 360 class and no one checking the motors . Then why not just drop the 360s and the Pro Series since there only getting 12 to 14 cars bring in the 305s pay 7 hundred to win for the 305s . And take the 360 payout and move it to the 410s where it is harder to cheat Glen Murra

Or you can translate that into he is cheating less than others in the pits.

One of the winningest 360s has been over 363.6ci for over a decade.

You are crazy. You think all 305 are legal. The 360 s at Knoxville do a fine job. Is tracks resposibilty to keep engines legal. We raced 305 and found out one car was a 377. You think all 410 are legal. It is sort of on the honor system.

I've been wondering when was the last time that I heard of an engine getting checked in the 410 divisions? An honor system sounds good but.....Are sanctioning bodies or tracks checking fuel? I'm not sure if bigger is always better with engines these days, the secret is the drivability of the engine for the track you are visiting. Anyone hear of engines getting pumped anymore?

Don't this to be fact but the story was that the All Stars pumped Macri's at Port Royal.

Weight is the one thing they check.Reutzel frames were a hot topic and resulted in action. There has been accusations of Traction Control but dont recall one DQ. There have been some wing infractions and there have been some bigger motors but cant remember any D,Q..If a protest is filed with proper procedure and money posted they will be torn down but most everyone is ready to go after the races. Nothing worse than being declared the winner next day.

Put a small wing on top, pin it at 20 degrees and scrap all engine rules. Problem solved.

It is fact, the All Stars posted it on their own twitter site after the A. They post what they are tech-ing after most races. Tires, Fuel, Motor etc.... sometimes more than one item.

This video from Brian Kemenah and Eric Crocker is well worth the time. It does cover some motor issues on how the HP is needed for qualification and then he tries to reduce it to a usable level for the rest of the night. I'm sure it's different between a 410 and a 360 though, since the 360 already produces less HP. Still very informative.
