This doesn't bother me as long as the racing is good on the track. And Larson coming from 16th to almost winning tells me it was worth the wait.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

I don't know what it was like in the main grandstand but I was in the pit stands and I've never been sandblasted like that in my life, and I used to be a semi-regular at Limaland. Feature was good though, hated to see that last caution come out, would've liked to see what Larson could've done.

I understand not everyone likes farming but the results are well worth it when you have a race like that. The little smaller rougher tracks provide so much better racing and starting Larson toward the back makes for good racing. The motors are as equal as they can be with no brand advantage and chassis isnt a factor as much as set up. We all know that Kyle Larsons NASCAR ride pays the bills but He is giving back more to dirt track racing with the best WOO drivers both late and sprints plus a midget show. Everybody wins especially the promoters. Some of the older legends like schrader and Wallace will bring a modified to your track but there fee is more than winners share of the purse and every promoter I know said it is money well spent in extra fans. Of the card carrying WOO travelers there are are half that wont win a feature this year and survive on the point fund and loyalty of being at everyshow to guarantee a respectable car count in areas where sprint cars are fewer.

Farming isn't the problem. Running shit box modifieds that take 45 minutes to run their heats is the problem.

I said the same thing. On a Sunday night with WOO there why in the world does a promoter think modifieds are a good idea. Literally no one in the stands came to see modifieds. Honestly the only people that go to any track to watch modifieds are family members. They could have used that time to farm the track and got the whole thing over much sooner and probably had less ruts from those heavy small tire plows. But I guess they figure WOO is going to sell out no matter what else is there so they might as well pocket a little more back gate money. That's assuming the support class actually makes money there. If not it's just stupid.
This is one thing I like about most PA tracks. When they have a big sprint car show they don't usually have support classes. Most sprint car fans would rather have some down time than be forced to sit through some junk yard support class. PA sprint car fans are spoiled like none other.

In PA, A lot of the big sprint races do have support divisions.
Williamsgrove has a support division there first night of speedweek. I think all there other big races don't have any support divisions.
Port just had a support division for both nights of the Weikert Memorial. Port has a support division for both of there races for speedweek and 2 out of the 3 nights of the 50 weekend.
Lincoln for this weeks Steve Smith tribute race that pays 19,000.00 to win has 2 support divisions. They even have a support division the first night of speedweek.
Selinsgrove - Always has a support division for all there 410 races.

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Completely enjoyed the show that the Outlaws put on last night but more importantly my 12 year old son and my 11 year old nephew had an absolute blast! They did not care that it was hot and sunny out or what the track conditions were like or that we ate dirt all night sitting in turn 2 area, they loved it!
they got to see Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, Alex Bowman, Sheldon Haudenschild, Logan Shuchart,Jacob Allen Etc..all race their hearts out wide open against the wall. then after the race they got to go into the pits and get autographs and pictures with all the drivers, the excitement and pure joy they experienced was well worth more than whatever the cost was to get in.
That Had me thinking this morning that if we all could just go to the track like we were kids again and just have fun and be excited to enjoy the night of racing no matter what the track conditions are like or what the weather is like or what the car count is and remember what it was that got us loving the sport in the first place, then it would much more enjoyable.

Guess they're not as spoiled as I thought. It doesn't seem like the Grove has them all the time. Also I think they have less issues bigger tracks. Maybe the speed causes them to be a little more careful. Modifieds on a small rough track never goes well.

This show only had 25 cars last year so to be fair it probably made sense for the promoter to cover for a potential light sprint count with a mod show. The only time having a division with the Outlaws irks me is when they take too long or destroy the track. I don't think the mods did either last night as the A main was excellent.

I have always felt that when a track tends to dry out the sprint cars should go first. WOO and others could say they want to go first.
