Not sure what race you were watching or maybe ya need to get  your eyes checked .....that was far from Buddy s fault especially when Brad was a row behind to start and trying to bully his way forward even before the flag stand  .....

WoO pit announcer Chase Raudman on Twitter:

Talked to Buddy afterwards, Brad wasn’t upset he was just asking if he knew what had happened

LOL!!! Sweet runs over Kofoid and it's Buddy's fault. . I guess Kofoid should have moved up. Oh wait, the #9 car was there. I guess Kofoid should have just taken out himself and McFadden so the darling of the WoO could have as much track as he needed.  The crash was Sweet's fault, if you think otherwise you're either blind or a Sweet fan.

At first I thought clearly Sweets fault and wondered why he moved up the track like that. The more I watch it the less I think it was Sweets fault. Looks like Buddy is coming off the cushion and down the track as Brad is pretty well holding his line. As Brad holds his line the RR is stepped out a little ways coming off the corner but not terrible. Buddy is quite a ways down the track with quite a bit of room to his outside. He was trying to squeeze and just happened to place his LF just barely into Sweets RR and the rest is history.

I would agree with this analysis but hey, I'm just a blind Sweet fan apparently so I decided to look at pictures. Looks like Buddy is not only crowding Brad but Sheldon as well and he is just as low as Schuchart the pole sitter maybe 30 yards past the chalk stripe. Looking at the two other outside cars, Macedo & McFadden, they are about two to three car widths above the inside guy. Second picture is less than a 10th of a second before contact and there is hardly any distance between tires and Sweet is just as low as the other inside cars and can't get any lower. Yes he moves up but its not like it was an iradic move but more so of how the cars typically come off the corner even if you luck at Schuchart's car for reference

Having said that I would not say Buddy is a bonehead or Sweet was trying to bully his way to the front. It was a racing accident and fans are going to make a bigger deal out of it than what the drivers were. I was at the track and went to the pits after and Brad did not look like he was angry and was in his typical happy go lucky smiley mood and Chase even said Brad did not do anything malicous to Buddy or act upset. I think some people are trying to grab a strings to find reason not to like Sweet now and make him the new Donny like calling him the poster boy or darling of the Outlaws now, or finding out ways to be mad when he wins, and in this case he moves up 8inches and people say he cuts across a guys nose. If you don't want him to win fine but its not like he is a dirty driver. Always killed me when people did that with Schatz and attacked his character or said he did a dirty move even though he was always pleasant in the pits and never made a dirty move.

I'm a Sweet fan and I can see the case for the analysis around Buddy crowding Sweet but to me it looked like a racing deal. Everyone is trying to win, everyone is racing hard and sometimes this is the outcome. Didnt look intentional...

Racing deal. Not sure why every crash has to be someones fault. Sometimes sh!t happens.

Not intentional, but a Bonehead move.  See photos posted by Nick14.

AbsoFlippinLutely!  I couldn't agree more. Over the course of a career, every driver is gonna F-up. I guarantee you Kinser did, Wolfgang did, Swindell , Schatz, Sweet and hell, EVEN KYLE GODDAMN LARSON F's up. Why do we need to analyze it to death?  Like ya said...sometimes shit just happens.

Way back somewhere, I have an old Dakota Area Racing news that has a quote by-I think- Daryl Dawley. Someone had asked him about a crash he had with another racer. He said something like  "Well, he was ziggin' and I was zaggin'. It was just one of them racin' deals".

shut the 'f"up boss. because you are looking stupid. Outlaw people reporting THERE said it was nothing.

Where's my beer or scotch on the rocks? God-damn it! 40
plus years of dirt track racing in these old veins might
get me condemned by the EPA.
