Hey Guys!
The first print issue of Dirt Empire is about to go to print, so if you've been contemplating subscribing, you better do it fast! The first issue is packed full - q&a with Kevin Rumley, Kenny Carmicheal Sr, Lauren Stewart on the Shamrock Classic, TMez, and a piece on Minnesota's James Broty & Family. Just to name a few!
You can subscribe at www.dirtempiremagazine.com - you can also check out the digital preview issue that came out in January! (For Free!!)

I'll echo AZ's comments. I checked out the sample issue (for free) on the web site and that sold me. Great articles and photography plus I like having a magazine in hand.

I'm going to sound biased, since I write for Dirt Empire. BUT, I think we are pretty action packed when it comes to photography. If you're wanting something that will give you a lot of aesthetic and be eye appealing, this is totally it. We're trying to cater to a short attention span type of effect, where you get the information you're seeking very quickly without having to dig through filler that we all find boring.
Our April issue is going to debut our interactive section, where fans will be able to submit questions utilizing a hashtag on our social media platforms, and each issue we will track down a driver or two and get some of those answers. April's issue has Kenny Carmichael Sr. I'm really excited to see what kind of content and information this produces. It's is very much unique to us.
Each month will also still have our Auxiliary Spotlight, which had Zan Haudenschild in the preview issue. The April issue will have Lauren Stewart. We want to shine a light on some of the individuals in racing, especially the women, behind the scenes not the steering wheel. (Again, about to sound biased, because I wrote it.) Zan's q&a was incredibly enlightening, she's a smart woman! I can see why she does such a great job keeping the #17 team in line. LOL. Lauren will talk about what she's up to now, where you can find her in 2021, what are some of her promoter dreams, and the thought process behind the Shamrock Classic being post poned and even it's history and future. Again, not something you always see. Lots of places feature crew members and such, but, we're delving in deep!
Our pieces are catered to allowing the interviewee to shine their personality and who they are. For example the Tmez piece is also a Q&A, because.. well it's Tmez, and anyone writing his answers and stories is going to miss out on what makes him so funny and personable.
Of course, our Kevin Rumley piece includes life with Kyle Larson and how the 6 car even came into fruition.
I can't wait to see what people think of the issue in print. Personally, I'm nostalgic and grew up on Open Wheel, and I love the feeling of holding a magazine in my hands when it gives me all the emotions and goosebumps. (Which I can assure you, my piece on James Broty will do just that.)
So glad you liked it and signed up!

Thanks to USPS being extremely slow right now, there's been a slight delay on their arrival to mail boxes. I haven't received mine either, but I received my UPS case of them to deliver to 34 Raceway. Priority mail that typically takes 3 days to arrive, is taking about 5 days. I would expect them to be in your mail boxes any day. Leave it to the post office to test a bunch of dirt track fans patience, LOL.

Still waiting for mine to come. I'm not real optimistic since recently I've had Priority Mail 2 day packages take a month to come from the Pittsburgh area to me outside of Philly. That has happened three times recently.

Nebraska is further west so I'll just quietly wait a little longer for the Pony Express to arrive.
Gosh, "insert most hated driver name here" must be driving the wagon since it is taking so long to get here!

I know it doesn't help anyone, but I still haven't received my copy either. LOL, and my article is featured on the cover! Justin did receive his in Minnesota today, so they are trickling out.
I do want everyone to know we have adjusted our deadlines, in an attempt to get them to print sooner, and get them in the mail prior to the first of the month, to try and combat this USPS issue. Since, well, we all know you can't fight the post office themselves!
I appreciate everyone being patient and understanding. We went to print April 2nd, ideally everyone was supposed to have their issue way before now. USPS can right their ship any time now!
For those who have received their issues, what was your favorite part? Any constructive critcism? (Aside from shipping, LOL.)

I went to the mailbox Saturday and inside was a glossy magazine! Dirt Empire? Nope, I got a complimentary subscription to Speedway Unlimited as I had been a subscriber to another dirt racing magazine that went away. Nice and I appreciate it as it will hold me over until Dirt Empire arrives! Hopefully soon......

Yep, here in Delco still waiting for my issue. The Philly distribution centers are a train wreck right now.

I think all of the distribution centers are a wreck. I still haven't received my mailed issue here in Illinois. We are working to combat this for the June issue of Dirt Empire Magazine.
Sorry for the delay in responses guys, my good rodeo horse foaled on Sunday (17 days over due) and the foal and mare experienced many complications and had to be rushed to the University of Illinois (3 hours from my home) and things have been very difficult and stressful as they are still there. The mare is doing well, but the foal has been very very touch and go. Just trying now to get caught back up. I didn't want you guys to think I had abandoned this thread!

Like I said previously, I'm with ya being in the Philly 'burbs and still waiting for mine. Recently I've had packages from western Pa take a month, even one from York took a month. Alot of times they hit Philly and bounce between the P&DC on Lindbergh and the NDC up off of RT 1. Then they finally, at some point, find it to the local branch office. I also had two packages that arrived at the Pilgrim Gardens office which is two blocks from us, sit for two days, then get sent to Ardmore post office lol. WTF???? USPS is truly a mess around here.

USPS has been a mess for about 9 to 10 months around here. Harrisburg USPS has been messed up for a long time! Mail & packages take forever to send or receive.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!
