If you have to say "I'm not racist" you generally are racist. And that's just confirmed by the rest of your post thinking what Larson said is a "often said word between 2 friends".
|
That's just the reply people like you give when you don't want to accept the truth, you call me a racist because I say I am not. You are demented & part of the left. 1 of these times your crying of wolf will bite you in the ass. I could care less what you think!

The one thing I notice is NASCAR pushes these diversity programs and makes such a big deal about it minorities or women in the sport.
I used to be a big NHRA fan and followed it pretty closely for a while. They have quite a few drivers that are of different races and women but the NHRA never made a big deal out of it. I was a Don Prudome fan and while I knew he wasn't white (he is French/Creole) didn't give it two thoughts and probably every drag racing fan was the same way. Prudome is a legend in drag racing because of his accomplishments, not his race. Same with alot of others Roland Leong, Antron Brown, Pedregons, Arana's, Angel Sampey (or whatever last name she has now), The Force girls. All of these drivers are appreciated for their ability and thats how you earn respect. Not to have it pushed on you as a fan.
Motocross/Supercross - James Stewart. This guy is another that is held in high status in the motocross world due to his accomplishments, not his race. His battles with Carmicheal were awesome and James probably had more raw speed and talent than Ricky but his tendency to push the edge cost him in huge crashes. Another example of status and respect that was earned and not an agenda pushed on the fans.
NASCAR tries too hard to be "woke" and I feel it is backfiring on them. I watched some of the Daytona 500 and noticed a few things, Wallace/MJ got way more air time than any other driver. Larson was barely mentioned, and when he was the incident was always along with it. Last summer in sprint car circles Larson was talked about all the time with his win totals and the butt kicking he put on, this summer will be a lot different for him. Its going to be crickets, or the incident.

The difference is that NASCAR made their space in a racist corner of the country, then got popular for a while from coast to coast and realized that the majority of the country doesn't fly rebel flags and toss around the "N" word like a verb. They HAD to change to market themselves out of the south. The AMA and NHRA have been coast to coast diversified sports from the beginning, even with the Shirly Muldowney specticale.

Its not just a region that throws out the ghastly word but a certain demographic. I 've been to about half the states in this country and I've heard the word used, probably gets used in the other states I haven't visited. I'm not sure what is a worse, calling someone a F-Ahole or "The Word" . Each term will get you in hot water in these lovely sensitive days.

You have exposed the hypocracy underlying this whole disengenuous mess. Was Barack Obama black? Half black? half white? If I look white but my dna report says I am 10% african does that mean I can use the nigger word? Too many double standards.

Nice this has sat on here for roughly 55 hours now. Mods asleep at the switch? Ban this trash.

Enough of the Race crap. Lets talk Racing. Huge win for Carson last night. Not often we get to see a win from that far back in an Outlaw race!

NASCAR also has the history that only full time African-American driver in the Cup series before Wallace was treated horribly because he was black.

I dunno. Maybe if the guy won some NASCAR races he'd be answering different questions in interviews.

Isnt the term cracker racist? In the era of cancelling everything crackers should be changed. Ritz, saltines all of em should no longer be referred to as crackers. A crisp? A wafer?
And yes Im kidding

Some folks take it as a symbol of pride, especially the ones from Arkansas! . Check out Levon Helm of The Band, relevant part starts at about 1:15 (but the first part is good too if you like The Band): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgVxszM42DI

It acknowledged this:
A +100000 long shot to win Sunday's Pennzoil 400 could pay off big for a Las Vegas business owner and his customers.
Chuck Brennan, the founder and CEO of Dollar Loan Center, placed a $10,000 bet on NASCAR driver Josh Bilicki to take the checkered flag at Sunday's Nascar Cup Series race in Las Vegas. If the ticket pays, Nevada customers who held loans in good standing with Brennan's business would have their accounts cleared.
The bet placed Thursday afternoon at the Circa Sportsbook in downtown Las Vegas would pay out slightly more than $10 million dollars.
Dollar Loan Center will be primary sponsor of Bilicki's #52 car in the race.
Bilicki's best career Cup Series finish came at this year's Daytona 500, where he crossed the line in 24th.

To show how crazy thingd are the Marion Indians high school team decided they must get rid of Indian name. OK, I can live with this. The new name they picked was Marion Mavericks. Someone with nothing else to do found a slave owner in Texas had the last name of Maverick. They now have to change that name. I would bet that with research some slave owner with first or last name of Marion will be found. We then will have to rename our town.
