In fact, every time you post there is political comment about Reagan at the bottom

I live in Minnesota so I'm out of touch with Pennsylvania politics but I watched Kyle Larson win an exciting All Star Feature in the closing laps from Williams Grove last night on Floracing. Here in Minnesota tracks have more restrictions than anything I'm seeing in televised races from that part of the country. Jackson just shut down for the rest of the season due to the restrictions, some haven't opened and a few others are struggling. It looked to me based on last night and a few other races I have watched from PA that you've got it pretty good out there and we appreciate being able to tune in. I wouldn't get so worked up about a sport and things that are out of our control. It's not good for you to let those things eat at you so much.

There seems to be a misconception that fans who elected to sit out 2020 and watch on PPV are somehow trying to interfere with you going to the races. I'm staying home and watching on PPV because of my age and my own health concerns and am not lobbying to shut down racing in order to fuck you or anyone else over. To the contrary, I don't feel safe going so I want the season to continue so I can keep enjoying all this racing in the comfort of home. To blame fellow racing fans and suggest that we are out to ruin things for you or anyone else is delusional.

I wish I had a dollar for every post you have made a post about your age and health concerns since the virus started. I could buy some good beer for a change. Just kidding, you blab a bunch but you don't seem to be a hypocrite. Good luck with your health hopefully you'll get to see a live race again in your life.

I have seen that misconception a lot this year especially on facebook in a number of the groups that I am part of. I have seen quite a few people get chastised for not attending or saying they will watch it on PPV to be safe. I have NOT once seen anyone say "I am staying home and I want everyone else too because if I can't go then no one should." Many cases its exactly people in the situation that you have stated yourself, looking out for your own health and you yourself have never made myself or anyone feel guilty about attending a race ourselves. Just stated your position which is a fair, rational one.
I have an older friend who is 58 (met through his wife who I used to work with at my old job 6-7years ago) who is taking your same position as he has had heath issues the past couple years. Myself and a couple others went to our first race of the year a couple weeks ago at Fremont for Speedweek and out of respect, just invited him just to ask. He simply said no thanks and for us to have fun, he just did not want to compromise it and it was not worth the risk for him. He did not say that he thought we were fools for going and no one told him that he needed to get over this and live his life. We have worn masks at 3 of the races due to not being able to distance ourselves from the rest of the crowd and not once did we feel like we had succumbed to some govt whatever, nor was our freedom taken, nor was I being told what to do, my balls stayed the same size, I did not feel less of a man or human. I simply took it off after we got to the car and went on about my boring life. Whatever restrictions happen in any state is out of my hands. I have written to my reps as far as how I feel about it but that is about all I can do. I don't think the chains or the concentration camps will be getting setup anytime soon. If races do happen and I'm able to attend I'll do so as I see fit and don't hold any ill will from anyone who wishes to watch at home as it probably is the safest way to go about it. Hope you and your family stay healthy Stan

You talked to one person who gave you some shit. So what? Its fine. You'll still get to do what you want to do, and so do they. You seem to be wound tighter than a golf ball. Try to relax a little.

Don't live in a cave at all, house in suburban Columbus with plenty of neighbors of all walks of life whom I have talked to during this whole thing. My life has basically gone unphased during this outside of the occasional eating a resturant from time to time & going to the track. I had a cookout last month and attended some prior to Memorial day and some people decided to not show up because of the health and no one said anything negative on either side. I am not sure if I believe your story or really anything you say as you tend to be super sensitive especially when someone has a different point of view as you. You always end up going into a little hissy fit if someone says something contradictiory to you opinion and have this weird psychological disorder where you feel everything you believe is fact just because you say so and go off the deep end every single time a person disagrees with you. If a random person or someone I knew were to give me a "look" or tell me that I did not care about people I would probably just laugh and go on about my day as opposed to having a fit since I learned a long time ago to not to have delicate feelings. I would suggest seeking some counciling because all of this anger & complaining every single time government or covid comes up isn't healthy. If people are really saying you don't care about people most likely it is because of some other reason. Granted you know I am someone on the political side that you hate and despise and is apparently trying to spy on your every action and blah blah blah but if you were going to a race, the beach, FL, Texas, North Dakota I wouldn't care hell go have fun enjoy yourself just be a little careful for yourself. Going to those places doesn't mean that you don't care about people, sneezing into your hand a proceeding to touch the produce in the grocery store after testing positive means you don't care about people. Quit letting things both you so much like words from strangers.

I'm not looking to pick a fight with you or anything. However, I don't understand why people are getting so worked up about this? And that's on both sides of it. Looking through Facebook is comical to me, in one post you see how people hate the lockdown and life is going to hell because of it. Then the next post talks about how Trump is responsible for killing thousands of Americans and should be tried for murder because he didn't take this serious enough when it started. Here's what I do know, I don't envy any of our leaders right now because it doesn't matter what decision is made, it's going to piss off a whole bunch of people.
But the reason I commented about this is, I make statements like this all the time to people, and I do it as a joke and so far I think everyone has understood it's a joke. So when people say they are going somewhere and don't wear a mask, I say the same thing along the lines of "You don't care about other people" or "Yeah millions of people are going to die but as long as you don't have to wear a mask, right?" or "Fucking Trump supporters." On the other side of it, if people say they're concerned about it I say "You really should become a republican, the virus doesn't affect republicans". Obviously neither of these sayings are how I feel, they're both extreme. I just find it funny how wearing a mask has become political. But maybe this person said this to you as a joke?

Attention please. All the so called experts on all sides of this ridiculous debate taking place on a racing forum, which happens to be my last bastion of sanity and normalcy during this time of turmoil, could y'all please take this shit back on Twittier or Faceplant where the rest of the experts are? I personally found Twittier debates to be more visceral since there is a 280 character limit to slander the opposing party so the attacks and analysis were much broader and simple for such a complex set of issues.
As for the racing, I'm still waiting for the Ian Madsen split reasons to drop and watching Larson be Larson.

Problem I'm having at the Grove in particular is it's impossible to follow the CDC/Governor orders if you choose to. We try to set up in the infield with plenty of distance. 2 weeks ago we were in a spot where you could see who wrecked out of turn 4 between the trailers so people swarmed around us. Have to see who's hurt or worse right? Friday night some guy said we were in his spot which has been his for 35 years. Somehow he built himself a stand and it looks like he takes video with a camcorder. Not sure what he does with it or if he's even associated with the track.
No issues at Port and surprisingly Lincoln. We leave other people alone and they leave us alone. I thought that's what everyone wanted anyway.
We planned to go to Lincoln last night and Port tonight but I think we're going to cut back. Floracing is terrific. I'm a Drexel alum and bought it for our basketball but my subscription covers racing. Merger with speed shift is a game changer. Flipped back/forth between tracks and didn't deal with a single person not respecting our choice to act responsibly right now.

That was my thinking from the start this year. I could have gone to see the Outlaws 32 miles from the end of the driveway but opted to watch both nights of Cedar Lake on PPV. Between Floracing and Dirtvision I have everything I want and need. After chasing races for most of sixty years since my first race and a neck fusion and bad upper back that protest when I sit in bleachers I'm happy with my recliner and PPV. If I want to hang with anyone I've got three cats that come through every so often demanding scratches. If my wife leaves her upstairs TV and shows up in the family room during a race it means something is up and I'm probably going to have to get my tools and fix it.
Benefits of watching at home include not having to drive all afternoon to some track out in the boonies and having to get a motel room so I don't have to drive home alone through deer country. I have always traveled alone so if I want to go to the races I do all the driving and cover all of the expenses and sit alone when I get there. The smell of spent methanol is not much of an attraction and I don't drink anymore so the old saying about dust in my beer does not apply. Fact is I'm still trying to forget memories of sitting up all night after the races editing and distributing photos so there is some burnout involved as well.
On a funny side note I know most of the racing people from the tracks around our area and one posted on social media yesterday about having a day off and wanting to attend a race. We had heavy storms roll through and when that happened I saw another post where he was agonizing over where he could find a track that had not cancelled. Apparently the idea of spending a day off and saving some time and money by watching on PPV never occurs to the rabid race chasers. I have racked up fourty tracks attended during my lifetime and have nothing to prove but some consider that a badge of honor as well. By my way of thinking it's a helluva lot easier having Floracing and Dirtvision where when one race rains out another is always just a click away. Another prediction if I may, with another few years of refinements PPV will make race chasers look kind of foolish wasting all that time and money chasing from small town to small town.
