I think the 49 team went to be in the way and slow down the process hoping they could delay the 15s return.

I just gotta believe that after you spend 10 months a year and 3 to 4 days a week with the same 4 team members from 10 teams that some if those 40 guys become friends and really do want to see everyone have a chance to lose on the track not in the pit. Mankind is showing less goodwill as time goes on, we need to be thankful its abundant in dirt racing.

This has been going on since I can remember and that's going back about 30 years. I can't tell you how many times I sat in the bleachers as a youngin and watched members from other teams helping out. Whether it be borrowing a wing or some other part or Greg Hodnett seeing Jacob Allen's oil soaked shoes and giving him a newer pair. Back in 2009, Todd Shaffer went into the Williams Grove open as the point leader and destroyed his primary car in the heat race after Steve Kinser spun in front of him. They brought out the back up car and took a provisional. He put on an amazing drive coming from 26th to 6th just to get chopped by another car going into 3 then hit hard by oncoming traffic destroying another car. They still had a make up feature to run after the open. Todd was still the points leader but didn't have a car so Aaron Ott gave up his car for Todd to run. They put the 88 wing on it and he went out and secured the championship. It's been going on forever. The only difference is, until recently, there wasn't cameras from Dirtvision there to capture it and there wasn't social media available for people to talk about it. I always have, and still do, think that it's one of the coolest aspects of our sport. True competitors want to beat their competition even up. Not through attrition.

Beat them on track and leave no doubt. Even pro athletes will tell you they want the best players on the opposing team on the field because they don't want to hear, "only reason you won is because so in so was out "

Plus it's not a gimmick. Have seen it go on for years at a levels. Outlaws, All Stars, local, everywhere. Everyone does it because of sportsmanship & also if you don't help when you could have, then the next time you have problems other teams may not be so Noble

Matter of fact I knew I was gonna take some heat for it. You guys say I'm being too negative and I say that some are too soft. Is what it is. I know one thing though, if I was on a team and helped the other championship contender get back out, then he proceeds to run up to fifth, and i lose the damn championship by 2 pts......yeah I'd be sick. Part of winning a championship is mechanical reliability.

As a fan, I guess I just like seeing guys that compete so hard against one another still maintain such a high level of respect for one another. If I were a part of a team, I'd probably be like I am in real life. When it's someone who I know would or who has in the past been there to help me, I'll do whatever I can for them. If it's someone like a former friend of mine who only comes around when he wants something but is never there when you need something, no way in hell would I help them.

My son raced quads and motocross when he was younger. At the last race he broke a driveshaft on his quad in the first moto, he needed to start the last moto to wrap up the championship. We had 2 teams roll out their spare quad and bring them to us so he could race, they were 2nd and 3rd in points and knew they couldn’t win if he raced. I told them that and both of the dads laughed and said that is no way to win, he won the race and the championship using the back up from the team in 2nd place. We saw stuff like that all of the time, we helped others when we could and it shows you sportsmanship and kindness isn’t dead but is alive and kicking at dirt races of all kinds around this great nation. I’m glad the professionals model that for everyone else to see, especially the younger fans,
