There was a good amout of chatter from the part 1 blog-statement I posted on here a few weeks ago. Here's part 5 of the blog from Short Track Racer that refers to Divisions and New Racer Captivation. I've been told most of the sprint/midget world is pretty solid in this aspect becuse of the universal rules packages. Would others concur? Are there regions of the country that seem to struggle? Regions that seem to thrive?

First it says "Many tracks must work towards eliminating traveling series from their schedule, while not the freedom to travel.", then it says how great Posse/Outlaws rivalry is & that other tracks should emulate it...

??????

Good catch. The wording has since been altered to differenciate lower tier touring divisions and premier touring divisions. Certain regions seem to have an abundance of lower to mid tier touring series and some tracks seem to invite them all. Our opinion is it waters down the show for weekly fans and usually the gate prices increase for these non appealing shows. Thanks revjimk.

My opinion remains as it always has......why did the track owners and promoters bend and force their locals to adhere to WoO standards in order to compete? As costs began to sky rocket, the opposite should have been the case. Track owners and promoters should have demanded to have a voice in the technical aspects of the sprint car, to help keep costs down. They seemed to get so caught up in the instant gratification of the big profits generated by the travelling series, that they negelcted to protect the future of their local drivers and car owners. OH and PA are the last of the country to feel that crunch in car counts and sponsorships, regarding the premier 410 class.

plus locals have to pay the WOO-zer sanction fee to run with them on a "locals" track.  it was like that but may have changed in the last few years.  just another way to "juice" the cost of sprint car racing up....

we will see, the Mini Gold Cup is right around the corner...

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...
