Logan Wagner will be the new driver of the Zemco Car. They will run weekly at Port Royal. There is a possibility for more races, but the focus is onPort Royal. Logan will run his car elsewhere throughout the season as well

This team is slowly becoming a mess. Results decline every year and a hall of fame driver could barely put it in the top 5. On a good night. Then there's nothing said about Dale leaving. No thank you, press release, no updates on anything. Then..... Out of the blue, no mention about Dale not being the driver anymore, but a release announcing Logan Wagner is the new driver of the "famed Zemco car". The famed #1 that hasn't been a threat to win a race in probably two years.
Now with all that being said, I think Logan Wagner absolutely has the capability to turn this team around. Definitely a deserving driver and I'm glad he got a shot to impress and I think he will. IF this team can get their shit together. I'm not a Zemco hater. It's just disappointing to see the decline over the last decade. Maybe it's money, it probably is, but Logan can wheel I hope these guys can turn it around.

See if they update motors or not.
48 year All Star curse also a SOB for Blaney to break too. They are the Cleveland Browns of sprint car racing.
They don't even know how to spell sprint car
much less chromoly...http://www.ycmco.com

Well it's about time someone finally sees the raw talent Logan has. Extremely happy for him and without a doubt a couple of wins or more at the Speed Palace for him and the Zemco team!!

It will be interesting to see what he can do in a better car(at least motor-wise). The 1 is still a very good ride.

Zemcos glory days are in the past, sadly. Has not been a contender in 4-5 years now. It's not the drivers and it won't be Logan. He's ready for his shot. Proved to be a good wheelman.
Here's the picture I see that was the demise of a top shelf car.
1. Zemco breached their contract with Maxim when they started selling eagle chassis. As a Maxim dealer you agreed to sell their chassis only. Maxim pulled the dealership and it went to Highlands. Now their in bed with Eagle and run their chassis.
2. Roach ( Ryan Hand ) quit because he was over worked and never given any credit. Which he was the brains behind the race car setup. Ryan went with Hodnett and their success speaks for itself. Only 12 wins this year and they are upset because it was a down year. Gotta love the competitive attitude.
3. Tommy Karl who took all the credit for Ryan's setups now can't hide and has to make the setup calls on his own. How's that working out ?
Those 3 things have created an average car at best. And some of the best drivers to sit in a car ( Lasoski, Wolfe, Blaney etc.) Can't over come that.
They probably had no choice but to give a young gun a shot. Top shelf drivers probably won't take it after this past year and how dismal Blaney looked in it. And I'm sure the top guys talk to each other.
Time will tell

Sid, in the landscape of Maxim and xXx chassis in Central Pa, how many other teams even run an Eagle chassis besides Zemco? I am not sure there is another team that does? I could be wrong, but I think Zemco is the only one.

Zemco wouldn't have taken the chassis deal if they are the only team running them. Somebody is buying them. Right now if you just look at the cost factor xXx is probably outselling everyone. And don't start about there crash worthiness. A couple guys wrecked them hard, and fournately they walked away.

I believe they switched to Eagle chassis when Lasoski was in the car because that is what Lasoski wanted. That is when the breach of contract with maxim occurred.

I could be wrong, but I thought there was also a point in time where they were running Schnee's after the breakup with Maxim.
Does Rico still run Eagle's? I know he's not Central PA, but he's always fast.
This is a good hire. Maybe some young blood with something to prove in a nationally known car is exactly what the doctor ordered here.

Happy for Logan. Sounds like we won’t see the Zemco car much, if at all, at the Williams Grove TT shows.

Eagle owns Schnee. And I believe Zemco still runs a Stacked Tube Schnee. Yes, Rico runs Eagles.

Lucas did very well in the car. It might not be the top shelf ride it used to be but they still have topnotch equipment and strong motors, much better than what Logan has been running. I believe his motor is what 15 years old? It obviously wasn't strong enough to be competetive last year at Port. At least now he's in a car with a power plant strong enough to win on a stomp and steer half-mile.
