I tuned in again last night (Wednesday) to watch more of the Chili bowl. I was very dissapointed with the broadcast team. On paper they might have looked good, but Hahn in the pits was horrible. He couldn't really seam to put even one good sentence together and to me he looked very groggy or out of it. Kevin Swindell did an OK job, but it really is a well known fact that a broadcaster shouldn't repeatedly be swearing during the show. Where was Bockhoven? They should have had him in the pits. All in all the broadcast never really skipped a beat, but I think they could do much better with the people they choose to have behind the micraphone. Just my opinion which I am sure will get destroyed before the day is over.

Concerning Kevin as much as I didn't like him as a racer and feel like he whines a lot, I did appreciate his insight and humor as a broadcaster. As far as the swearing...it's PPV so in my mind some different rules do apply. From what I heard last night was nothing different than kids would hear on network television these days( unless I missed something while taking a dump)
Now... Hahn on the other hand is a train wreck. I could write 3 paragraphs on just the dumb crap he said last night alone. I will be honest and say he is easily the work pit reporter in the history of the business. The other guy (can't think of his name) that was also in the pits last night did a fine job from what I saw.
Quality of streaming was great all night and very thankful for what they do each year!

Bokhoven is the house PA announcer & is not on the Racin Boys broadcast. Personally, I like Swindell doing the commentary. Not afraid to say some things. Could do without the swearing but it wasn't over the top IMO. All in all, RacinBoys does a great job on the broadcast. Stream quality gets better every year.

PPV is not subject to the same restrictions as broadcast TV. As far as swearing on an internet broadcast is concerned it comes down to how much advertisers will allow. Some probably don't care and others might be inclined to withdraw their support.

I like what Brandon Hahn, he is just starting in the business of interviewing of drivers and crew members. I am sure the Racin Boys will work with him.

I thought the crew has done a great job. The guys on Tuesday were very insightful on the details how the cars work. Like explaining the fuel systems and running lean or rich to the fans. Last night I thought Swindell did great. Ive never been a big fan of his but last night I thought he did a great job. Wouldnt mind seeing him on there more honestly. He gives a great point of view. As far as the swearing goes, I dont mind a "damn" here and there. They say worse things on TV now. Or go walk around the pits or the stands and youll hear far worse. He was talking how I would expect a normal person to talk and thats what made him better than the usual types. Racinboys stream has been top notch as well. Havent had a single hiccup at all so far. Keep up the good work guys

I did them one summer and came into it with public speaking experience and joined toastmasters to brush up on my skills. PPV dirt track broadcasting businesses are probably not going to send their people for interviewing training, it's not in the budget. At least it wasn't in my experience. My resume included the aforementioned public speaking, toastmasters, a passion for the sport and a few beers to bribe my way in. It sounds like the passion part is already present but the other skills are lacking in this case. I haven't watched any of the broadcasts but will be checking out the B & A on LORTV on Saturday.
