I'm Cole Monson I'm gonna be 15 on April 3rd this year. My dad is time Monson. I want to start racing sprintcar. I was wondering if there was anyone around Lakefield mn with a 305 sprint car but no driver

Good luck to you, Cole. I watched your Dad race quite a bit. I'm sure you've spoken to Brian Woodke already, is he not racing anymore?

Wasn't it your dad that did track pulls before getting into sprint cars? Best of luck to you in getting your career started.

Do you have experience working in/around cars?  A good way to network and meet potential teams/owners is to see who needs help in the pits.  Walk up, introduce yourself and ask if they need help.  Scrape mud, sweep, clean, etc. and learn, learn, learn.  It's a great way to ingrain yourself with potential teams/owners, etc. and a great way to learn.  May not be the path which immediately gets you in the driver seat, but it may be a valuable experience.  Now if you can find a ride, well then go that routeSmile

Thanks Chilly, you are right. It was Tim Engler. A lot of fuzzy memories from those days. Good thing Knoxville didn't have $1 Busch Light nights back then or I wouldn't remember anything. Thanks for the clarity.
