I have been going to the Nationals for many years.  I have camped in both the fairgrounds north campground and VanDonslers. Due to a change in jobs, most years I cannot make it in until either Thursday night or Friday night.  I have just purchased a 36' camper and I am afraid this will cause me great issues if I arrive at 7 or 8:00 at night as it seems most have left the campgrounds for the race.  (this past year we had to take a different spot with a smaller camper because our site was blocked by people who were not at the site and had parked a car there)

That being said, I am looking for a place that I can pull into later in the evening and not have to worry about being blocked out.  I don't even mind paying for all 4 days even though I can only be there 2 or 3.  Does anyone know who's camping is located at the very north edge of town--right across from the Super 8 but BEFORE the fairgrounds campground?  And if so, do they have electric hookup.  I cannot find anything on Google, but I know there is a lot there and there are many campers there.

Thanks in advance for info.

Yes I did.  It appears to be all booked for next year's Nationals.  I also tried the Chamber of Commerce and it says the website is not active.  ????

Do they usually have open spots or is there a waiting list?

Call Dingus and ask AJ if he has any open spots. He opened a new campground last year.
