Saw on their facebook and twitter page that the lawsuit against Eldora from the disqualified late model drivers has been dismissed by Federal court, and the drivers have withdrawn the suit. I would post the link but it is coming up as a database error currently.

However there was winners in the case, just look at that list of attorneys and firms representing both sides.

"we are pleased with the voluntary motion by the plaintiffs and today’s dismissal,” said general manager Roger Slack"
Hmmm, I guess they just changed their minds and said the heck with it......or took the check with it

Not sure what your statement is supposed to mean?
While I am sure plenty of people miss Earl, it would seem that you are making some statement against Tony Stewart. The racing community I would think is plenty happy that Tony made his deal with Earl and there remains an Eldora Speedway. Otherwis it could easily just be a cornfield again.
I think Tony has done a great job of keeping alive the vision of Earl Baltes, and I thank him for it!

Sure, and they would have continued their lawsuit and probably bankrupted the track. Unfortunately it is not the 70's or 80's anymore. If Earl is as smart as I think he was, he would have done what he needed to do to protect his track, which means, in today's legal climate he probably would have had to begrudgingly play ball.
Also, since we don't know what led to the dismissal and withdrawal of the suit, everything is speculation anyway, and next year when all of these guys are at the Dream and World, people will no longer be talking about this.
