Here is a simple example of being oppressed from a black's point of view.
You are driving a $100,000 dollar car get pulled over for doing say 46mph in 35mph speed zone. The officer walks up beside the car like any white driver you open the window with nothing to fear. Say hello to the officer, he says hello to you. Then asks do you know why I stopped you. You say I must of ????. Licence, registration. etc..
Now you are black driving same car get pulled over. Officer walks up beside car and you roll down the window. And the first question is not do you known why Is stopped you, but IS THIS YOUR CAR or where did you get the car.

I'm white and I've dealt with a few asshole cops who asked me stupid questions. What I didn't do, was act defiant and escalate the situation. There are some cases where a cop killed someone and it wasn't justified but they are very much in the minority. With the exception of maybe one or two, the most recent events that incited the rioting and such, were 100% on the criminals. In the instance of Michael Brown, you can't reach for a cops gun and expect not to get shot. As far as the instances that are legit, it isn't a race issue like some people want it to be. It's an issue of a person getting a badge and a gun who never should have. Psychotic cops have killed white guys unjustly too. The problem isn't racism, the problem in those very isolated incidents is that a bad guy somehow became a cop. I don't know what the solution to that is but promoting a false narrative, burning down neighborhoods and being violent towards other people sure as hell won't fix it. If you have a bad alternator and you leave it in your car and instead, put 4 new tires on, did you fix your problem? That's a perfect analogy to describe the thought process behind what these idiots are doing and its only making things worse. If they'd recognize the real problem and maybe work with their community leaders peacefully, things may just get better but trying fix a problem (racist cops) that doesn't exist with solutions that just cause more problems isn't the answer.

The problem with just speaking his mind once in a while is no one will notice. This way he gets a reaction and there is a national conversation which follows. What he is doing is almost uniquely American. You can't do something like that a whole lot of places, which is what makes it such a conundrum. I don't have a problem with it as long as his intentions are right and he continues to see through what he believes in. The similar thing that happens is when a disenfranchised community riots so that their concerns are forced to be heard. A simple protest like Kaepernick's is a lot less volatile. I understand why it angers some people -- it's meant to. But at least we're talking about it.
