As far as the freak show/circus that was Badlands last Saturday I cannot believe noone here has mentioned the 305 feature. 2nd place hammers the leader coming out of 4 gets them both sideways, then 3rd 4th and 5th surge past them both down the front chute then the winner pulls into victory lane and the guy that got about spun out rams the winner who HAD FUCKING NOTHING TO DO WITH THE INCIDENT, it was the dumbest thing I have ever seen in 48+ years of going to races...

I did read about this. What I don't understand is how the TMAC, who didn't touch the guy, got suspended, and like NewBeev mentioned, the 305 driver got the same suspension?
To me this reminds me of what every track was super strict about, b/c of the fear of someone getting ran over.

DQ'd for the night of the infraction with no points and no pay , and suspended from racing for Aug 7, and Aug 27. (2 race saver events)

Fact: Terry did not shove or punch any official.
Fact: Another driver pushed the official; but did not punch the official.
Ford97 thank you for your concern about my safety if I was to jump of the Badlands bandwagon; I'm still a Badlands supporter 100%.
Just wish they had better track prep. Narrow and fast.. No racetrack should be turning the same lap time in the feature as they were in time trials.

based on your past posts I think you're alright. But I now have a dilemma. You say you saw it with your own eyes. But yet I've talked to at least 8 others, including unbiased street stock drivers who all say they saw the same thing: someone shoved a track official on the shoulder. And it Wasn't Terry. something ain't adding up with this suspension IMO

HMMMM - let Me think about this - just thinking that it's a way of creating drama/news, or maybe giving by supposedly suspending McCarl (if it really has happened) it gives him the ability to run some of the other events that are scheduled for the area.

The only other event that conflicts with Badlands is the Knoxville 360 Nationals Saturday night finals. TMAC had that on his schedule, and would have sacrificed points at Badlands either way....by suspension or by choice. By being suspended, he's not choosing the 360 Nationals over Badlands. I'm thinking the odds are 1 to 1 that TMAC runs the Badlands Gold Cup. What better way to stir things up than by controversy? just sayin......

Im thinking they let McCarl in for the Gold Cup then after the anthem Chuck get on the frontstretch and does a WWE Vince McMahon syle firing of McCarl! Now back to reallity McCarl won't be racing the Gold Cup.

If he is worth a shit as a promoter, he will keep this alive and shrouded in mystery right up until the Gold Cup. Those tickets are going to be a tough sell right after Knoxville and at the prices being asked....he needs all the hoopla he can get.
