I can't believe that Cubic Dollar or any of the other XXX haters haven't gotten on here to complain about Tod & Big Game Tree Stands going over to China to buy his stuff to ship back here with Chinese steel imports??????
|
Tod is building a huge facility in Windom, Mn, that will employ a large number of workers. It's not as though he has abandoned his roots by any means. Like many business', he's forced to compete in a global world. You like to grasp at straws to put someone down, don't you? BTW....what does your sponsorship include?

Okay so why is it that the only ones bitching about Badlands Speedway are the Knoxville Raceway officials and ignorant keyboard jockeys hiding behind their bullshit names living in their mom and dads basemen?
Why is it we haven't read or heard one race team or driver from Knoxville or in the USA bitch about Badlands MotorSpeedway?
Knoxville Raceway did this to themselves; for starters they get rid of QuickTime award money.
They get rid of hard charger award which was $300
They get rid of twin feature night for 360 and 410s which was a fan favorite night for race fans, it was almost fan appreciation night the way I looked at it.
2 years ago they decide to get rid of fair night and they quit giving away half a cow and half a pig to the winning teams from the 410s and 360s; instead they had a cookout at last race of season and gave everyone a free hamburger with that meat... Last year they didn't even have a cookout.
Knoxville took away special events and it ruined it for everyone.
So Knoxville is helping racers out? By taking away the small incentives? which where pretty cool.
Knoxville had 40-50 360s every week in the early 2000's, now they have 19 on a good night..Why? Why did they leave ?
Where can you race at a local show and get Quick Time, transfer through your heat, run 2 laps in feature and break and pull in and get paid $2100 ( $1000 fast time; $700 to start A, $400 tow money, Plus free water, ice and 4 free pit passes)?
if Chuck Brennan bought the Dingus and gave out free beer, free drinks and shots all 10 days of Knoxville Nationals you phony complainers hiding behind fake names would still bitch about it.bYou people would bitch if you where hung with a new rope.
I have been going to Knoxville Raceway for along time and I still love the place, and I have been going to Husets Speedway for the longest time, but now Husets has changed names to Badlands MotorSpeedway and its a lot better now since Badlands Entertainment Group owns it; and they like to give money to racers, they let fans and crew in for free on some nights . What's wrong with that?
Without racers and race teams we would have nothing to watch, all know 410 racing is fading, but what Chuck Brennan and Tod Quiring of Jackson Speedway is gonna save 410 racing in the Midwest since not to many tracks can afford to have 410s race
Sprint Car fans are a family, we need to stick together and support it, it's already dieing, just like Nascrap is; so let's support our favorite dirt tracks for the younger generations .
Go ahead; light me up.... If you do, use your real name,
Peace out girl scouts.......Justin Boese

The folks in the Sioux Falls area should be happy they have a track, no matter what night it runs.
Knoxville is Knoxville, I live states away from Iowa and I hear people at races I attend planning vacations to attend Knoxville weekly races or the Nationals because of the aquired fame of the track.
It takes time to gain National prominence and proof of performance.
Over the years you heard the advertising for the shows at ASCOT, Perris, Manzanita, Williams Grove, Terre Haute, Knoxville, Eldora, Haubstadt, and the miles like Duquoin/Indy/Springfield and you know/knew what you are going to receive. It takes time to build a name or a brand.
There are many people who do a lot for the sport of sprint car racing and have for years. Making a sport thrive takes a lot more than a few people, it takes many.
Enjoy it.

I miss the days when the biggest arguments were started by cubic. Brennan is so polarizing, he is essentially Donald Trump. You pretty much either can't stand the guy or you worship his every move. He's making bold moves that hopefully will be good for sprint car racing in the long run.
As for me and my house, we will not attend BMS.

I don't disagree with all your points but, 40-50, 360s in the early 2000s every week, are you serious? I may be remembering this wrong but I most nights it was low 20s?
What Chuck is doing is great for the racers and the fans, but what he is doing is unprecedented. Most tracks will need to turn a profit and do not have the luxury of a millionaire throwing money around. Can it be sustained? Maybe.
I've been going to Knoxville for a long time and have hard time believing that Knoxville is subpar in their payouts, and their incentives.
Don't they have a drivers banquet that gives out TONS of goodies for drivers that are in the points Championship? What about insurance for the regulars, or even Kevin Swindell, or the ladies that run the charitable organization. How many tracks do this including Chuck?
That's not taking care of your racers?
The safety crew has been top notch for some time now, the track prep is usually A1, great push trucks, and how the program is ran overall. I had a friend attend, who doesnt go to sprint car races, go one night and said, wow Knoxville really knows how to keep a show moving, and this was (5) years ago.

Justin Boese is waaay more than a key board jockey. He has worked on sprint cars for around 25 years, for Jake Peters and Terry McCarl. Say and think what you want, he tells it like it is, and he owns it by signing his posts. I'm glad to call him a friend.

He probably doesn't have to go to the fairboard, I would guess he is watching the weekly races at BMS.

i feel like Knoxville is being punished for being way ahead of the curve on payouts and incentives. like most have said its great what they are doing in brandon south dakota. but knoxville isnt being ran by a millionare they still have to turn a profit at the end of the year and giving away free pit passes to everyone would definatly put a hole in the pocket. or paying guys just to unload thier cars is something that no track can do other then Badlands and Jackson. do you think maybe Knoxville took the incentives away becasuse they lost sponsors? All the times i went to Knoxville for double feature night the crowd was definitaly not double and neither was the car count compared to a regular night, so how did they pay for the extra payout? it came off the top and it probably became not finacally possible anymore.

Boese,
Only one, maybe two things I disagree with in your post. I agree that twin feature night needs to come back. I tweeted Kendra about it, not that that will do anything, but eh.
On to the disagrees. They did have the cookout last year for the last? race. That is one I'll disagree with. And yeah, it sucked, but I digress.
That's actually all I can disagree with at the moment. I won't sign my real name, but you know who I am. Ask me anything you want. I'll just unload faster...
Verno.

So you call call him out as a keyboard jockey but fail to include your name? Who's the Jockey?
Nice work!

My name, your name, his name are all pretty much irrelevant to the point. Has he done anything other than complain on Hoseheads??? If not, the name fits.

I feel that posting your name in here is credible. If it means nothing then just do it. I'm not being an ass I just feel that it would help clean up some of the BS on here....

So being reluctant to post your name on here, are you a fair board member or a Knoxville track official?
You very well may not be either of the above. But one would sure assume with you being so reluctant to post your name.
