Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, PA) shared this via Social Media:
"Breaking news: An LA film crew will be at the Action Track this Friday, April 15 for Opening Night to shoot a pilot for a reality show about Lernerville Speedway! Gates open at 5:00, racing starts at 7:30 sharp! Come be part of the excitement!"
Hmmm...Just thought I'd share.

I hope that they do a better job than the group that did "Heartland Thunder" several years ago at Lakeside Speedway. Also, start repeating this to yourself over and over "Reality TV is not Real Life, Reality TV is not Real Life, Reality TV is not Real Life." The amount of manufactured story lines that Heartland did was patheric.
Also, be very, very careful in the editing room. On one show, they had all three featured cars in three different heats, but yet all three cars ended up racing against the same car in each heat race. Impossible, you say? Yes, unless that edited three different nights worth of racing but tried to pass it off as the same night.
Sometimes, the less you know the better, but being a Lakeside regular, it was painful to watch.

So true. They would probably want at least some shoving matches in the pit area after a race. Reality shows are just as scripted as WWE wrasslin or Law & Order.

Update. Here's an article about what's going down. Sounds as if Lernerville kind of, sort of eluded to it being a bit "bigger" then it really is. The production company they hired specializes in corporate shorts/profiles and television ads...so sounds as if Lernerville actually hired the company to film at least Opening Night for a corporate profile type vid, not a full on "TV Show" as Lernerville was trying to bill it.
My company did something similar a few years ago for our updated website and social media platforms and the video has served us well. Difference is there are a number of well known and renowned production companies in Western PA/Pittsburgh, not sure why they had to go to LA to get a crew, but it's obviously their product, their money.

If your gonna do a reality show about dirt track racing, Lernerville is not at the top of my list. Just sayin.

Read the link I posted above. Lernerville tried to bill it as shooting for a "reality show" pilot but reading the article it seems like Lernerville is paying a production company to do a corporate profile type vid most likely for website, social media platforms and other online and media pieces.
