AMERI-FLEX CHALLENGE POINT STANDINGS REPORT

Tulsa OK (April 1, 2016) - The first event of the 2016 Ameri-Flex / OCRS sprint car season is in the books and with that brings us the first report for the first ever Ameri-Flex Challenge point standings. The Ameri-Flex Challenge is a 15-lap race that will field just 14 cars for a grand prize of $5,000 to win. Teams must qualify throughout the season to be eligible for the Ameri-Flex Challenge.
To qualify, the top 12 car owners in car owner points that have met the pre-set requirements of the Ameri-Flex Challenge rules will have their cars locked into the Ameri-Flex Challenge field. Ameri-Flex Hose & Accessories is the title sponsor and they will have two selections for the race. The event will be held on September 3rd at the Caney Valley Speedway in Caney Kansas.
On the heels of his opening night win at the Brill Motor Speedway, owner/driver Whit Gastineau heads the list for the 12 ‘lock-in’ owners with 104 points. Former Ameri-Flex/OCRS champion Sean McClelland, another owner/driver, currently holds the second spot with 102 points. Owners with their sons as drivers are in a dead heat tie for the third spot with 95 points. David Chappell for Zach Chappell and Johnny W. Kent for Johnny ‘Hotrod’ Kent are the respective title holders.
Travis Jenkins is the first car out of the top 12 as an owner/driver (13th position) but he does have former series champion Mike Goodman in the fifth spot. Sixth goes to David Moss who has the Ameri-Flex / OCRS defending champion Robert Sellers turning his wheel. The last of the family owned cars for their sons sit in positions seven and eight. Andy Sewell (Alex) and Bob Bookout (Michael). Owner/Driver Casey Wills and Brian Gramm are next at nine and ten with Brent Bates also turning his own laps at eleventh and in twelfth, we find our first company owned entry in Garnett Storage. Brett Wilson pilots the ride. Other than Travis Jenkins, owners sitting outside the lock-in spots in positions 14 – 20 are:
