Mark Dobmeier – Jimco Motorsports Ready to get 2016 Underway!

(Bill W) March 30, 2016 – Mark Dobmeier and the Jimco Motorsports #13 team are looking to follow up a great 2015 season with a better one in 2016.  The Grand Forks, North Dakota driver recorded another double digit win total last year, including two wins with the National Sprint League.  Helping them in that mission are some great new partners.

The team plans on running about 65 events this year.  After a brief weekend of action with the World of Outlaws in Las Vegas earlier this month, they are focused on getting the season started April 9 at the 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa.

“We’re really looking forward to getting going,” says Mark.  “Ryan and Jennie Grinde have busted their butts all winter to give us another great team.  We’re really proud to have all our partners back, as well as adding a couple in Polaris, Kyllo Trucking and Herberg Custom Harvesting.  We can’t wait to get to Burlington!”

The team is grateful for the addition of Polaris as its primary sponsor.

So Bill W.,

Is Dobmeier following the NSL again?  Or plans just to race ~65 races?

Vande, my guess is they will run where and when they want.  With Badlands running Saturday's (with good tow money) I would expect them in Brandon on most Saturdays along with the usual stop in Grand Forks on Friday.  My guess is they won't be running for points anywhere.  When I talked with Mark at the end of the last season he said they really had a lot of fun running where and when they wanted to.

I'll have to wait till the end of April to see Mr. Dynamite!! Due to the fact that all the sprint car racing is currently happening 800+ miles from home, my first racing of the season will take place a mere 400 miles away from home at cedar lake speedway next weekend. I see traditional sprint cars on their sched, along with lates, mods and pro stock cars. Hoping for good weather and great racing.....been 7 years since I've gone to CLS.
