LoneStar Speedway's MODIFIED MANIA - Coming Saturday April 9th!
Kilgore TX (3/28/16) by DarinShort.com. If you are a fan of open wheel Modified racing, you'll not want to miss the next night of racing at LoneStar Speedway (LSS) on Saturday, April 9th with the running of "Modified Mania."
Modified Mania features the Texas Winged Modified Association (TWMA) vs. Ark-La-Tex Winged Modified Association (ALTWM) Shootout, plus the high-powered LoneStar Modifieds (racing for $1,200 to win) and Limited Modifieds...all will be competing in heat and feature events.
Plus, a full program of Factory Stocks and the new Front Wheel Drive 4-Cylinders will round out the racing card. This is a full points night for all LoneStar Speedway racing divisions.
Winged Modifieds have thrilled fans in Texas and the A-L-T area for decades, and LoneStar Speedway will serve as 'neutral ground' for this special Shootout between the two rival series...so race fans will get to see the best of both series on the same night at the same track - in the same race.
Fans can expect to see Winged Modified drivers such as Dale Wester, Rex Adrian, Steve Adrian, Dustin Mooney, Stott Trowell, Kadale Kolar, Terry White, Teddy White, Callie Lee, David Suggs, Terry Trowell, Charlie Davidson, Korey Keimig, David Glanagan and David Williams from the TWMA group; and Alan Myers, Thomas Burge, Koty Adams, Rick Corte, Eddie Grmela, Susie Bates, Mike Krompegal, Brother Fowles, Tyler Morgan, Ken Mangham, David Suggs, Tommy Hall and Greg Whitten from the ALTWM group.
Plus, veteran driver Doug Ingalls plans to be behind the wheel of a TWMA Winged Modified for this event - so don't miss your chance to see one of the most popular drivers in this area race at LoneStar once again!
The LoneStar Modifieds will be racing for $1,200 to win - and there is no entry fee or increased pit pass due from competitors for this race.
Rounding out the full-plate of modified divisions in Modified Mania will be the ultra-competitive Limited Modifieds, with their feature winner receiving $500. The full night of racing rounds out a complete program for the Factory Stocks, paying $300 to win, and the new FWD 4-Cylinder division pays $100 to win. Non-qualifier money will be paid in each division, as is the case at every LoneStar Speedway event.
Complete purse breakdown in all divisions is posted at the LSS website under the 'resources' section, as always (Click TexasWingModifiedAssociation.com and ArkLaTexWingModifieds.com for full purse and respective rules). Pit passes for all ages are being kept at the 'weekly LSS show' price of $30.
And the best part for the race fans: you can take in all of this action for just $15! Kids ages 6-11 are just $5. Seniors and Active Military are $13.

RaceCeivers are required for drivers; however mufflers at LoneStar Speedway are not required (unless required by your Series), so race fans can hear the cars the way nature intended for them to be heard!

-Pits open by 3pm, Grandstands open by 5:30pm, LSS divisions Draw Cut off at 6:30pm sharp, LSS Drivers Meeting at 6:45pm, Track Packing and Hot laps at 7:00pm and Racing to follow immediately after Hot Laps.
-General Admission just $15 (ages 12 to 64)
-Kids (ages 6-11) just $5
-Ages 5 and under admitted free with adult admission
-Active Military or Senior (Ages 65+): General Admission $13
-Upgrade any ticket to the Reserved Section for $5 per person
-All Pit Passes for all ages are $30
-No outside food/drink coolers are allowed inside; a full selection of economically priced food concessions, including beer, are available
