Congrats to Dallen on what sounded like a incredible race.

Also a shout out to Shane Golobic who in the last six weeks has,
won a non-wing Sprint car race in Indiana,
Won a non-wing sprint car race in California,
put it in the "A" main at a WOO show in Chico,
finished 2nd last night in a pavement midget race at Madera,

throw in a pavement midget win earlier in the year and you have the making's of yet another young Californian set on making there mark on the world of motorsports.

With a huge field of 24 cars taking the green flag at the “Fastest 1/3 Mile in the West” the BCRA Midgets put on a wild and exciting race. Fremont’s Shane Golobic grabbed the lead in the 30-lap BCRA main from pole sitter Justin Melton, of Flower Mound, TX, on the second lap and tenaciously held on to it until Dallen McKenney, of Clovis, made a daring pass underneath him on lap 29 to steal the top spot and the victory following a late race yellow caution. “The car was really good and I thought we would go right to the front, but when I got into second I had nothing for Golobic,” said McKenney. “That yellow worked to my advantage because my car seemed to work a little bit better than his after it and I was able to squeeze by him.” “It is never fun to lose like that right at the end, but Dallen ran a great race,” lamented Golobic. “We’ll just try again next time.” The ultra competitive BCRA class spread the night’s top honors amongst a phalanx of drivers as Melton, Kevin Morris of Ripon and Nick Foster of San Carlos, all earned heat wins, Paul Zimmerly of Ridgefield, WA, won the dash and Hanford’s Michael Faccinto set fast time in qualifying.
