That was sprint car racing at its absolute finest. There's a pretty good chance that could end up being the race of the year in Central Pa. I challenge Altman or any other naysayers to find something wrong with that race. For the 2nd week in a row, Williams Grove nailed the track surface. It was perfect. I hope we see more good racing like that throughout the season but this one will be hard, if not impossible to top.

I wasn't there but it sounds and reads like it was a great race .  I am glad for fans , drivers and Williams Grove , I truly hope they can keep turning out these kind of races . Anybody going to Susquehanna for opening night to support  Scott Gobrecht ?

++++1. It might have been even better had the Edge been able to get by Aaron 5 laps sooner!! Great race.

Is Hodnett, Marks or Monteith running a car made in their country?  Sounds like Asia is beating us on the track just like in trade.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Mummert, u gotta give in to the fact that the XXX chassis is status quo right now. Racers buy & use what wins, bottom line.

Just how many pieces are made out of the USA that are used in motorsports? A bunch.....

Buy...lol? All the good guys are deals. Any manufacturer you have to go thru a couple of frames to find one that works, only stays in business one way. Evidently, the best drivers with the best motors and setups win races. I guess we can thank triplejunk for showing us all that.

They don't even know how to spell sprint car much less chromoly...http://www.ycmco.com

Well, that didn't take long. No one is talking about who/what/where the chassis came from. It was one of the best races I've ever seen and I've been going to the races since I was born. I didn't give a shit what chassis they were running as they were zipping in and out of traffic and sliding each other for the win and I'm pretty sure no one who was there did either because we were all on the edge of our seats and in awe of the talent and bravery that was being put on display before our very eyes. In any era, the race at the Grove Friday night was an all time classic and one that those of us who were there, will never forget.

Exactly. Some of these idiots would be in shock if they saw where some of the materials used in many of the "American" made components come from. The only difference with Triple-X is, that they're forthcoming with the information regarding their manufacturing operation whereas all the others try to hide it. They are by far the most transparent chassis manufacturer there is. Just go to their website and look at all the information they have available about the materials and methods that they use. A lot of it is way over my head but I don't see that on any other manufacturers websites whether it be chassis builders or those who make various components.

You're right.  Thanks for the wisdom.  Life is much simpler, easier and shorter when we ignore what degrades and eventually kills us.  I wish the newpapers would stop covering all this radical Muslim stuff too.  It's tainting and complicating my day.  At least they have stopped picking on China for all the trivial child abuse.  Look at the money we would have saved if we would have just considered Pearl Harbor an accident.  Can someone make a list of XXX users so I can start a fan club?

Is there any word on potential efforts to get the Chinese to build the engines too.  The stars are aligning perfectly since everyone wants to run the same thing anyways.  All this wasted money just making local, US, tax paying, patriotic, Godly engine builders rich is just pointless.  I mean it is undisputable..... look at the race teams, motor homes, ocean condos, snowmobile collections and hot chicks all the engine builders enjoy at the racers' expense.  XXX needs to take it to the next level and make things even better.  I still think we should start a fan club thoughSmile

Maybe they can get some Mexicans to build a Ford engine. Wouldn't that be great????

Getting a bit carried away there....

I'm against all the outsourcing too, but comparing using a sprint car chassis made in China to Pearl Harbor?????

Come on....

I'm a huge Ford fan and just spent my weekend racing one with the local SCCA region....but now might be a bad time to mention that the M82 6spd transmission introduced with the 5.0L V8 in Mustangs is built by a joint venture between Ford and Getrag in Nanchang, China.  So yea.  I'd bitch more at government regulations that led us here than XXX.  Stifle our economy with regulations while China's buildng 5 new coal plants a week, and then let them send everything over for nothing.  Now, can we get back to the race, I had to miss it but my understanding is it's a classic.  Any video surface yet?

Of all the top runners at Knoxville last year I only saw 1, Ian Madsen, using a xxx chassis. May have been more but I looked at all the top guys and his was the only one I saw. Maybe it's just a posse thing! Maybe they don't care about hurting American companies by buying Chinese built stuff.

And as for cubics comment, what would be the point of having a company if you are just going to give away everything you make? Posse guys BUY them because they win in Pa.

If the posse guys are so great why don't they have deals with American chassis builders?
