Congrats to Andy Gregg on getting his 4th main event win of the season tonight in Petaluma with Civil War. I might just have to make the trip to Marysville next week, but I'm sure he would kill me. lol

Behind Andy was Sean Becker, Colby Wiesz, & Andy Forsburg. Fast track with top 3 qualifiers under old record. 5 reds and 4 yellows in the A, but some good racing. 3rd place in points, Brett Rollag flipped into the turn 3 wall taking the signal lights out. Hurt the car pretty bad as he told me that it didn't look like they were going to be able to make the last 2 races in the series.
Are we having fun yet?

For how fast the track was there was alot of passing. The first heat was follow the leader but after that Mike Benson came from 8th to 4th in heat 2,Kyle Hirst won heat 3 from 6th starting, and Richard Bailey made an exciting last lap pass for the final tranfer in heat 4 after starting 8th.In the A main Bailey was the hard charger as he came from 20th to 7th,Andy Forsburg started 16th and finished 4th and Sean Becker came from 10th to 2nd. A good night of racing overall, other than to many stops in the main.

Sorry I'm late to the thread, I've had serious internet connection problems at home since just about the time I arrived back from the race...
Becker really made Andy work for that win, I can tell you that! I think he had a better low-line car for sure but simply ran into all the lapped traffic there in the closing moments. Forsberg's charge from 16th to 4th in some ways has to be considered one of his most clutch performances of the year, it really puts a lot of pressure on the #x1 to perform the next couple of weeks (as Forsberg's heat win meant Colby did not gain a single point on him that evening).
Interestingly, Jason Statler's new track record didn't help him get into the feature - he finished outside the transfer spots in his heat, and then wrecked while leading in the B-main, tough luck there for sure. He was in the #20 that had recently been driven by Stephen Allard (and before that by Mike Henry), though it looked like it was Statler's own #00 that got the #20 wing and a repainted rear number panel, something like that. I wonder how long he'll be in that car this year, or if it was a one-off, but in any case he looked fast and I wish things had come together during the races that evening.
One of the more hillarious moments came about midway in the feature when Brad Bumgarner wrecked to bring out a yellow; he clearly blamed the #91 of Ricky Wondergerm for the incident and first slapped at the #91's wing as it passed by under caution, then on the next circuit, pointed two fingers at him to send a message! I didn't see exactly what caused the crash though.
Rollag wasn't the only one to break the fence, Chad Compton went all the way through it in Turn 2! I agree, way too many red flags all night.
When my internet troubles are hopefully resolved soon at home, I'll try to get my Petaluma shots up. I'd normally have them up by Monday after the feature but that definitely won't be the case now.
I can't believe the Civil War season is nearly over, it's been pretty awesome so far and I wish it didn't have to end so soon.
