It’s been fun……. But as of March 1st 2016 Jocko’s Sprint Parts is under new ownership.
Don & Annette Dawson have purchased the operating assets, trade name, & website of Jocko’s Sprint Parts in Des Moines, IA from Doug Brown.
It’s with mixed emotions that I’ve sold Jocko’s Sprint Parts but it was time to get someone who can bring some new ideas, energy, & enthusiasm to the ownership of the business. Don has been talking to us for some time and I’m pleased we were able to make a deal with them. It’s great that Bob “Booby” Thompson will stay on to help the new owners with the business. Bob has a great wealth of knowledge about sprint car racing and building sprint cars and he’s been the “point man” for Jocko’s Sprint Parts since the beginning.
I want to THANK all the great customers, valued suppliers, and dedicated helpers Bob, Larry, Gary, & Frankie for the support and friendship over the years.
This summer I will be around to assist the new owners with some website additions and a few other things we wanted to see accomplished for the business and I’m looking forward to another fun season of racing.
