No big deal here, other than the loss of the Speedweek date for the track. At the end of the day, more of a negative for the series than the track, because new venues are hard to find, especially with the sanction fee having increased again since the new regime took over. Way too many All Star races in Ohio anyway, particularly at 2 specific tracks. Maybe it's time to take the show on the road more anyway. This little situation could have been resolved with a little effort. But, not end of the world.

September 16-17 would make for a nice little Hoosier Fall Classic weekend at the Burg'.

I'd would love to see Waynesfield get one of the Fremont All Star dates. The 410s are awesome on that little bullring. But, like was mentioned above, it's pretty pricey to bring them in.
+1 on the suggestion for the Fall Classic at Lawrenceburg.

+2 on the hoosier fall classic at the burg with the wingless cars. Loved that event and track and haven't been there for awhile. That event and the sprintacular at Eldora are two of my favorite events next to Kings Royal Week.

Especially if they could hold it on the old burg.

From what I am hearing there are several promoters not too happy with the All Stars and looks like Fremont is the first to walk away. Major issues I have heard is increase in sanctioning fee, making tracks increase the prelim night purse, and putting restrictions on All Star teams running the night before a All Star event. Sounds to me the All Stars are wanting to turn it into a mini-Woo and price themselves that way. Guess we will see what Fremont says in their press release as they are supposley outlining the reasons.

You may get some answers tonight. Rich Farmer, Fremont's promoter will be on 99.1fm Buckeye Speedzone. I have logged onto wfroradio.com before to listen to interviews. I think its a live feed so you would have to listen to it at that time.
I just looked on Pitgate's forum and it appears to be over Ohio Sprint Speedweek and of course money.

There's a reason the All-Stars actually have a 10+ car following now. They are taking care of the drivers instead of letting the promoters/tracks get all of the money like in the past.

There will be no specific reasons given. period. It will be all politically correct and sugar coated. No one is going to burn any bridges. The only people being hurt are the fans, like always. Assuming an increase in fees was the issue, it may be in the fans best interest that the shows were canceled, for they, afterall, are the ones who ultimately pay for it.

Got to thinking - you have to wonder if the newly-formed Ohio Sprint Car Series (OSCS) will take the former All Star dates at Fremont? I'm keeping faith right now that Tony Stewart knows what he and his staff are doing. They signed Artic Cat as a title sponsor, added a former full-time WoO driver (Kraig Kinser), etc. I think Barbosa is right, we will probably get the politically correct answer on tonight's radio show.

There's always 2 sides to every story. Like you said, Tony has done great things for the ASCoC so far and at this point, you gotta give him the benefit of the doubt. It sucks for you folks in Ohio to have even more political unrest not long after the ASCoC/Renegade debacle was resolved. Hopefully things work out in the end. Typically, in these instances, everyone eventually cools off and comes back together again.

I doubt they will simply because it looks like the OSCS and All Stars are co-sanctioning the first race at Atomic on April 2nd so I do not see OSCS going to Fremont. If anything I would expect Fremont to add the FAST group to these dates. Last I heard the promoter of Fremont was the Promoter of the FAST series so it would be a smoother transition in that regard. We probably will get politically correct answers on the radio show but probably will be able to read between the lines a little bit. I probably will not be able to listen to it unfortunately since I will not get home until after 6 tonight

Good points for sure. It always works out. Forgot about the Renegade thing. Kickin myself for not buying a shirt when they were at Atomic. I'm just ready for some racing! Trust me, if I weren't going through a divorce with the Wicked Witch of western Ohio, you would have seen a vehicle in the Lincoln parking lot with Ohio plates. Plus Wizzard invited me to area 51....probably to get my arse whooped!

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I know we've had our differences and all but I hope everything works out for you there. I've had friends go through that shit and its not good at all. Hope you can make it to Central Pa sometime this season.

Thank you. Once shit settles out, I will be driving back home to PA, Carlisle and Mechanicsburg, in particular. I will definitely hit some shows back there. I don't drink, but I'll you guys a soda then.

Bullshit on the racing elsewhere. If & when they don't show up for your shit is when they should be penalized. Someone gets the big head & BAM everyone pays.
