Thinking about going to see this race, but I don't know anything about the track. It doesn't appear they have reserved seating, is that correct or am I missing something? Can you bring beer into the stands, or only buy theirs? Any other information will be greatly appreciated!

I have only been once and that was over ten years ago.   I do not remember any specifics, but I do remeber some of the basics of the trip.   The stands were very nice.  They are the same type that is at the Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway.   The track was very fast and racy.    I remember the support classes put on a great show as well.   The track shares parking with the drag strip, and I remember having to walk a good distance to get to the track.

I left Texas soon after the trip, or I would have made more trips back.   I would definitely get some more information on where to stay.   I forget where I stayed, but I remember being a little concerned about the neighborhoods around the track.

Look up SLS Promotions for ticket and other information. There's also a ticket link to this on the WoO site. While most fans at home here in PA will be at Lincoln, I hope to catch my first race at Royal Purple that night.

I've been a few times, but been about 3 years since my last vist. Stands are huge and very nice. I think it's all concrete. In the past, it's been a toss up as to how packed the stands get. For an ASCS Gulf South show they usually aren't full, but I went once when there was a destruction derby with a 305 sprint & stock class and stands were full.

Pretty sure admission is FREE, but you pay to park Maybe only like $10, I think it depends on axles? I forget. With the WoO in town, they may charge, but I didn't see any tickets for sale on website.

Nice place. I went down there with Lynton Jeffrey back in 2009 and unfortunately broke a motor a in hot laps, but it was a nice facility. I live in south Alabama now and was thinking about going to this race as well, about a 6.5 hour drive for me.

I was the weekly photographer at Royal Purple for the last few years that they ran a weekly show.  Probably the best dirt facility in the country.  Not maintained as well as in the past since only special shows and other events are put on there.  Seating in the area of 6K+.  Depends on who you talk to.  For ASCS shows, the track would very often offer free tickets and then charge $10 to park.  That would fill the stands for the ASCS shows.

No free tickets this weekend.  No reserved seating.  For the few times that I have sat in the stands, there is NOT a bad seat in the house.  Come on out and enjoy the show.  I will be down there shooting, and pretty hard to miss, too. . . .
