I like Hodnett's new car. It's different. I get tired of seeing the same "Blackbeard style" jagged edge style wraps that a ton of people seem to have on their car's these days. Some look ok (Montieth), some even look great (Pat Cannon), but more often than not, they all end up looking the same.
I could talk for hours about "paint" jobs on cars.

The car count deal is strictly money. There are twice as many sprint cars across the country as there were 30 years ago. Just that most of them are running in smaller CID classes.
Is the most economical fix for dirty air putting on twice as tall wickerbill or limiting wing angle to 20 degrees?
Is the most economical fix for taking bite away giving an "option" to run a harder 18" wide tire or going to a harder shorter smaller tire like SOD uses?
The Outlaws never choose the best economically avenue. That is why ASCS came into existence. It certainly isn't the money or the glory. The Outlaws have them covered. They are simply too damn expensive.
The unlimited super late models went to smaller tires and did away with barge boards and they have multiple national series.
Donny Schatz runs a late model in his spare time for Christ's sake. When was the last time Bloomquist raced a sprint car?

There are times I wonder how he squeezes into a Late Model. That may be harder than getting into a sprint car.

He's fat as Opera and he still won last nite with a certain style of engine How can that be? No wonder Richards wins evey other nite without needing KY. I'm both surprised and thankful the WoO bosses even let Scott and Josh in the pit area with such silly stuff in the trailer.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Sure would be nice and a lot cheaper if they unhooked them...
2015 World of Outlaws Late Model Series Rulebook
-
A.) Only conventional type V-8 engines with the cam in the block will be permitted. There will be no limit on the cubic inch displacement.
-
B.) All engines must be based on a manufactured, factory design.
-
C.) Aluminum or steel blocks will be permitted.

Real race cars do typically require the driver to at least be in decent physical condition. As with all sports, there are exceptions. In fact, the greatest sprint car driver of all time is Steve Kinser and he's always been a pretty big dude. To my knowledge, he's always ran Chevy engines and the only time the Casey Luna car ever won championships were when Steve was utilizing his talents elsewhere. I'm sure you probably don't want to discuss that though. Like I said before, if you love late models so much, go watch the damn things. No one will miss you or you're constant whining and complaining about engine manufacturers.

"Real race cars do typically require the driver to at least be in decent physical condition". Since you are an expert, please list what you consider to be "real race" cars. Imagine how much money I could have saved over the years by only attending races with "real race cars". Boy, do I feel stupid!

Talking point number eleven would be Josh Richards wins practically every race with a Ford but not one soul in all of sprint racing (competitor or official) feels it would be worth considering or even healthy. Maybe being on the podium for about three weeks solid isnt what its cracked up to be. Even the 360 guys refuse after JJ embarrasesd them with "unfair" stuff for years. I guess they are so ethical they would feel bad about running one even though its both legal and superior.

So if I have this right you are saying its a conspiracy by sprint car owners who don't want to tick anyone off by winning too much. Lol

Not sure what the front bumper of a Malibu has to do with the performance of a sprint car engine but the fact is, if Fords were a superior sprint car engine to Chevy's, we'd see them all over the place but they're not. End of story.

You know. I think I'm on to something. After last night, I bet the sprint car guys are concerned about their feet hurting having to stand on the front stretch every night like Josh has to. The poor guy already has major health concerns but he somehow endures! I would be happy to lend a lawn chair to anyone that would consider putting a toe outside the boat. That is of coarse if the 410 officials would allow it

Donny Schatz doesn't seem to be experiencing any foot issues. In case you need a reminder, he's the guy who won 31 races and the WoO title last year driving the CHEVY PERFORMANCE #15.

That's exactly how I feel. I've owned a Ford and I now own a Chevy. The Ford served me well for many years and I really love the Chevy I own now and even though I got rid of the Ford, it's still on the road and the new owner loves it. When it comes to sprint cars, who really cares what's under the hood? They're not stock cars and they never were. Just go to the races and enjoy the show. Those who nitpick over this stuff are a perfect example of people who just look for something to bitch about.
