Thanks, people better read what Kevin says. He said his butt bar worked.

People just need to add more padding to the bottom of their seats in case they land flat.

Seats are a lot stronger and stiffer than they used to be and this type of crash always hurt.

With the rear arms ripped off like he said, the rear end comes up and spikes you in the ass like an 80 lb sledge hammer.

Even landing flat on the bottom rails without the rear coming in contact is still enough to break your back.

John Westbrook got paralyzed falling a long way and landing flat outside turn 1 at the Grove.

Doug Esh was knocked out of commission with a back injury after landing flat in a nasty crash years ago.

Rahmer and Dewease have also hurt their backs in the past from the rear end smacking up.

The foam they have now for the bottom of your seat is super shock absorbant.

It's way cheaper than a back injury.

So, I read rear arms were weak because of trying to make the cars to light. That is one place where you don't want lite parts in the suspension.

The extra bars and plate, just takes one of the possible places where you can get hurt out of the equation. And sprint cars it has to do with how you set in the car, straight up and down. If you were laid back more not 20 degree but 35, 40 degree's it would take alot more of the pile driver effect out of hits.

You can't lay back the seat in a sprint car because there is not enough leg room.
