Reading all the reponses to the "who/what introduced you to sprint car racing" thread got me to thinking. What was your first sprint car t-shirt? Mine was a Weld/Weikert, "When the Green Flag Drops, the Bullshit Stops." I was only 11 or 12 at the time. The only place mom would allow me to wear it was the races. Lol.

Jimmy Boyd from Dixon,California 1978. Had the bullshit stops shirt at one time. One of my favorites was "Stand on the gas till you smell shit". I have an original world of outlaws shirt in a plastic bag that I never wore, and now it appears to have shrunk (quite a bit!).

Metrolina got rained out one year and my dad started searching the hotel parking lots around Charlotte...
We came across Andy Hillenburg and Sammy Swindell at some small motel and dad pulled in to chat with Andy since he raced a few times with him at Rock Rest Speedway in Monroe, NC.
I, being a shy kid, hid behind dad the whole time... Amy tried her best to break my shell and eventually gave me an Old Milwaukee T-shirt and dad bought a model car kit which I used for show and tell...
Remember it like it was yesterday....
By the way! Go PANTHERS!!!!!

Lou Blaney
Got it at Mercer Raceway in about 1975 from the t-shirt trailer business of former driver Bill Banick.

Fred Rahmer, Busch Light 21, the Crew were staying at the same Motel as I was at the '92 Nationals. They were towing their show car in support of somebody that was hurt at Sharon, I apologize for forgetting the name, he got hurt hitting a post I think on his way out of the place. Names are sometimes tough in this faded memory....

You're thinking of Paul Lotier who was also one of my first racing shirts. It was from when he was in the 461...1987? Can't remember but I was just a toddler and I actually still have the shirt.

Eldora Speedway 'Do it in the dirt' probably around 1981. But as many have stated, the shirt I had my eye on was the 'When the green flag drops the bullshit stops' shirt, as every 9 year old boy would have.
My sister had a 'Pushion the cushion' shirt which an old perverted HS teacher asked her to not wear anymore. lol

I bought my first 2 on the same night. I was probably 7. One was Lasoski in the yellow #49. The other one was the shirt that said "If you can't race it or take it to bed, it ain't worth having". Mom was so proud, not! Years later I giggle about it cuz who would sell a shirt like that to a 7 year old. Still have both of them.
