Was curious how may of you may have received the email below from the WOO requesting a marketing survey be completed?  Wonder what companies they could be talking to?  Some of the questions would seem to lean toward perhaps some non-traditional sponsorships.

ATTENTION World of Outlaws Fans,

The Greatest Show on Dirt needs just 5 minutes of your time.  As many of you know, sponsorship is one of the most important parts of motorsports.  While gas prices are low and the evening news tells us that the economy is improving, sponsorship dollars are as tight as ever and we need as much ammunition as possible!

The companies that we are talking to about dirt track racing are asking us more and more questions about our fans and what kind of lives they live before they will consider sponsoring the series.  Sponsors help pay our driver's point funds, provide tow money to our teams, create new events and keep ticket prices as low as possible.

As a thank-you for your support, if you complete our 5-minute multiple choice survey by clicking on the link at the end of this e-mail, you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of Ten Grand Prizes, consisting of four (4) complimentary tickets to any World of Outlaws event of your choice, we will also be sending twenty (20) First Place Winners a free World of Outlaws hat and one hundred (100) Second Place Winners will receive a free World of Outlaws can koozie.  All winners will be contacted by February 1, 2016 via e-mail after a random drawing.

Thanks again for being the greatest fans on earth, we can't wait to hear from you!

***Please be sure to consider answering "YES" to the last question on the survey to become a part of the  "World of Outlaws Fan Committee," and let your voice be heard.

Seems to be a lot of asking about tools and lawn and garden equipment, with no mention of Bad Boy.

I went ahead and filled it out, I figured what the heck.

You have to be in the WoO mailing list to receive one. I don't know for sure how you can join the list but I just joined when I purchased some tickets a few years ago. There is no link to send. I don't give a rats ass if they copied it from NASCAR or not, this just shows that the WoO does care about what fans think. I also think they're going to use these surveys to make a pitch to some companies concerning a series title sponsor and that's a good thing as well. There were several fan related questions and at the end of it, they left a space to just give them your comments about whatever you want. Furthermore, you can elect to recieve more surveys throughout the season....once a month i believe. I know this bothers you because its proof that they aren't just a bunch of swash buckling pirates that you make them out to be who travel across the country plundering us poor unfortunate fans for every dime they can get and stealing all of our virgins. I'm not sure why you would want one of these surveys because all you're going to do is bitch because they didn't ask enough questions about facilities, fan giveaways, and restroom arrangements. Regardless, props to the World of Outlaws for being proactive and doing something like this. As a fan, I really appreciate it and I hope that they can also get a title sponsor soon.

Wow, Kinda like they care about the fans and what the fans think. Just the opposite of what you have constantly posted!

I filled out the WOO Survey and as was previously stated a lot of questions about tools of approx. 10 manufacturers and you had to rate most of them & I left no rating on two of them because I've never used their tools. Well, WOO won't let that happen and said those were mandatory to be answered in order to have your survey submitted. Their stated purpose of the survey was to total the responses and present them to the prospective sponsors. I think there should have been the option out if you had not used a manufacturer's tools, you did not have to falsify a rating or evaluation in order to have your survey received and counted. They will consequently be passing results on to the tool & yard equipment companies with false figures if people just wanted to enter the drawings for prizes from WOO - Make sense?

The same happened to me. How are you supposed to rate a product or company you've never used? When it took me back to the questions I didn't answer and told me I had to answer them, I quit the survey.

I just check average in all the boxes for the brands I have never used. Figured that was the only fair thing to do since they insisted on an answer.
