Lunstra car, im guessing will follow the NSL, or go after that pipe dream of winning knoxville points. Dobs im sure will run where he wants, and since badlands is haf the way knoxville is and double the money i can see him showing up. Nygaard will be hit or miss. I can see Zomer running badlands till nationals get close.

Dobmeier will almost certainly be running Badlands. He's pretty much got his cars ready to go. On his facebook page, his post reads "Just need to drop in motors and the 2016 winged cars are ready to go!" The key phrase here is 'winged cars.' Which tells me he's planning on running the non-wing Gold Cup event at Badlands.
Here's the link:

These drivers that are committing to Badlands are basically the same drivers that have been racing there for years. (Besides last year when they were following NSL) Now we, as fans, have to pay more to see the same 410's and less racing per night overall?

Not bashing at all, but please explain how Baldlands weekly 410 purse is higher than any 410 purse in the area? (Jackson/NSL, Knoxville/NSL) By what I am finding on each of their websites they (Badlands) are actually the lowest in the area.

I think it's safe to say that Badlands triggered the payout increases. Badlands was the first to announce they were paying $5000 to win, so that probably influenced the NSL's decision of increasing their payouts as well. If it weren't for Badlands announcing their payouts, I doubt the NSL would have raised their payouts to their current level - if at all...

Please pay attention when you post, NSL does not count as a weekly program it is a series (hardly though basicaly two tracks) so yes they are the highest purse of a weekly program Knoxville only $3000 to win on non NSL night.

Thanks for mentioning that! Five of the seven races at Knoxville that are NOT scheduled to be NSL are run early in the season before Badlands even opens up for the season. So for 5 weeks at the begining of the season they can sit at home and watch the snow melt, or they can race for the $3000 check at Knoxville.

Ford97 where do you actually live? Don't go to the races at Badlands, that your choice. Do us all a favor and just shut the hell up for once! Please just go to Knoxville and be happy. You deserve it!

So, Knoxville races 5 times before Badlands opens up? What happens if either one of these commited drivers happens to be the Knoxville point leader when it's time to race at Badlands? Will they simply pull the plug or will they stick around a bit to see how things play out?

So if McFadden, Veal, Lines, come over from Austrailia to race at Husets do they pocket more than $13K?

Via Badlands FB page:
Ryan we will be at Knoxville about 11 or 12 times this year possibly more with weather, we love racing at Knoxville. Its unfortunate in someways I agree, ultimately I think that for Sprintcar racing to rebuild in South Dakota and thrive it needs for this to happen, remember great drivers like Doug Wolfgang came from right there. For Badlands to pay the kind of prize money they want too and maximize and expose their sponsors they need to build a much larger business, this means they need more fans and there is alot more fans to be had on Saturday night. I can promise you this for all fans in both areas, get ready to support your favorite drivers pay per view is going to go through the roof.
