I know I've posted this before, but.......... Carmen is in Tulsa looking for a midget to drive in this years Chili Bowl. Carmen has been one of this writers best friends since we met in 1974. I still use advice he gave me back when I was in high school and working with him on his supermodified. Damn I am getting old. Carmen always thrilled fans here in Wisconsin and Illinois with his wide open race from the back style. When sprint cars became the norm with the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association the famous "Batmobile" was built from a supermodified that was made in 1978. This car was heavily "Carmenized" and was his "new" ride. Carmen ran and won races racing his super against lighter and newer sprint cars. He was always one of the most respected and popular drivers in our area. When the heavily bearded Manzardo towed his old beat up super to the Knoxville Nationals and raced with and passed Steve Kinser in his  Karl Kinser prepped Gambler/Gaerte  a qualifying race the fine folks the make the Marion County Fairgrounds their home track made Carmen into a folk hero overnight. Carmen towed that beat up, duct taped together beauty (lol) all over the midwest with some success considering he was racing against the best sprint cars money could. He also made some car owners and fellow drivers wonder what he could do with a car and budget that some of the top teams had.

I hate to beg, but will if needed,  PLEASE IF THERE IS A CAR OWNER GOING TO OR AT THE CHILI BOWL THAT NEEDS A DRIVER THAT CAN GAS IT UP THAT ALSO HAS DECADES OF OF EXPERIENCE IN SUPERMODIFIEDS, SPRINT CARS AND MIDGETS GIVE CARMEN MANZARDO A SEAT IN THEIR MIDGET FOR THE 2016 CHILI BOWL. Plus think of the publicity Carmen could give your team, I am sure he would share his experience with me which would make one way cool column that I could write on the finest Intenet Sprint Car web-site HOSEHEADS of course.

Carmen is staying on the in Tulsa for the big race look for the 1970's vintage cream and two tone blue motorhome that resembles an Air-Stream on wheels. Thats is where you will find one of open legends, Carmen Manzardo.

You can reach Carmen at 708-417-1291 or you can call, text or e-mail me at 262-455-0420 e-mail is [email protected] com.

Thanks for listening to to old writer that loves auto racing and likes helping friends.
