I don't see much more than a local show with Lawrenceburg and Fremont offering the money that attracts the bigger names. I am only twenty miles from Jacksonville, but I am not that excited about going. I will go just to support the local drivers, but don't expect much more than a regular show

A few Knoxville regulars have told me they plan on attending, we'll have to see...this would be a great show if it were just the midgets, so adding sprints in makes it a can't miss every year for me...

I hope some of the Knoxville guys come over for the weekend. Great chance to race on a couple of short tracks against good competition on Friday at Jacksonville and Saturday at Spoon River. It would be interesting to see how the Knoxville guys would fare against guys like Hull, Standridge, Hurley and Bruns on those tracks.
Special lodging rate on Friday at the Concord Inn in Pekin for those coming over for the weekend. Just mention the Midwest All Stars special rate.

You bringing Chilly W along,or has he slipped the ring on the finger??
I'm looking forward to seeing the POWRi midgets once again. They always put on a good show at Belle Clair, so good in fact, I chanced missing the Wednesday night qualifying night at Knoxville to go watch them at Belle Clair instead. This weekend I will be seeing POWRi at tracks I havent been to yet.

Been to this show the last two years. I'll be there. Manny Rockhold does a good job promoting this race. They've had decent car count when I attended.
410 sprints & midgets.... You can't go wrong.

Manny does one heck of job promoting this show locally for sure. Since I've been attending this event since 1998, the late arrivals don't have much of chance of getting a good seat, they get what's left. The car counts have always been real decent between the Midgets and the Sprints. I just wished this was pure Sprint & Midget show and could be spared the Hornets, lets just hope they run their Feature last so that unconcerned fans can get an early start on the trip home.
All in all, this show is a must see on the "Mini "Eldora", there are many reasons they refer to this longstanding annual event as "The Fall Classic"

Canton is 290 miles from Beaver Dam, so any WoO travelers are welcome to "legally" run this great show on Saturday! It's on your way from Topeka!

The ring must be on Chilly W's finger.

Well, it would be longer today Muddy, but on Saturday it will be right at 3 1/2 hours...
Andrew: Saturday is Iowa vs. Iowa State...all bets are off on Chilly...

Ahh I forgot, Chilly W. is only a part time race fan.

Bill W is correct. If I were a Clown fan I'd be in Canton as well to spare myself the embarrassment. Kent State and I-AA UNI (with 22 fewer scholarships) ... impressive. If you showed up in Ames with a helmet in hand Andrew, you could start on their offensive or defensive line. Probably go both ways if you wanted!

The Iowa game does sound tempting to go to vs. the races!!! Plus they play if it rains. (My wife mentioned rain in Saturdays forecast, but she always say's it's going to rain just to keep me home)

Good Analogy there Quinn. I'll likely be at the "Spoon" tomorrow also.
