I attended all 5 nights of last years Winter Heat and for those undecided and those looking for additional activities during time away from the track, consider this. About an hours drive North of Yuma is the town of Quartzsite, where they have an ongoing swapmeet during the month of January. About 3,000 vendors are there and of, around 500 are a part of the annual Gem and Jewelry Show. I attended last year and it can be a full day of swapmeet paradise. Yuma also has at least 2 very large ongoing swapmeets. In addition to the Cocopah Casino there are 2 other Casino's in the area, one on the North end of Yuma, the other only a few miles West on I-8 in Winterhaven, Calif. The Mexican town of Algodones is only a few miles from Yuma, probably the safest border town of them all. However you will need a passport to enter and return. For watersports and fishing, the Colorado river is only a few miles West. For an all day or 2 day excursion, Palm Springs, California is worth the time. For Golfers, the Yuma area has many courses to choose from. The Algodones Dunes complex covers 1,000 square miles of Sonoran Desert, making it the largest dune system in the United States and is only 20 miles or so from Yuma. If you can't get lodging at the Cocopah Resort there are a number of motels at the I-8 and hwy 95 area with PLENTY of restaurants in the area.
And Yuma is home to thousands of Snowbirds during the Winter months with many attending the races. I met dozens of race fans from Canada and Northern States, mostly Washington, at the track and the Motel I stayed at.
I guarentee, if you ever go once, you will want to make it an annual trip, not just for the races but all the other venues that the Yuma area has to offer. Did I mention that the winters are warm there? However, I suggest that you bring some cold weather gear. Last year, the first two nights, the temps did dip down to the low 50's. Enjoy the races!!

Mourinho may have certain tragic heroes recognizable features, but in each case they are missing gives the complementary function, the epic complexity Big-hitter. Othello paranoia Mourinho without cultural isolation, arrogance Macbeth guilt, self-absorption of Hamlet without the satire Fifa 16 Coins self-giving, the madness of King Lear, without humility occurs. Or if you want to go about it seriously intelligent, which is basically a 52 Anakin Skywalker in The Phantom Menace. And God knows, nobody wants to see that.
