Correct on both accounts along with provisionals throughout the year.

They also get preferential officiating, yellows when they need one, etc.

Could you explain how that makes any sense? Why in the hell would the WoO give preferential treatment to anyone? If it's true why would any team that wasn't in the WoO want to race against them. You really think Dale Blaney or Danny Lasoski (or any team with a brain)would enter a race where they knew that certain drivers get special treatment? Funny thing is you never hear any drivers saying shit like this, only disgruntled fans trying to make excuses for why their favorite driver gets spanked at every WoO race. Please Mr. Tipover show me examples of this preferential treatment or yellows that get thrown only to help a WoO driver, please gather your examples I'll wait.

All I ever hear drivers say is that the WoO are the most fair and professionally run show in sprint car racing so I'll take their word over some messageboard dude. There was a time way back in the Ted Johnson days that they were known to pull some shenanigans but those days are long gone.

Of course the drivers are going to speak highly of the people paying there bills.. They are not going to bite the hand that feeds them.. Now I remember at the 2008 KR when Kinser packed his car up when the WOO officials awarded Schatz another qualifying attemp when he shouldn't have..
Craig: "There is dirt in my beer"
Tony: "That means your at a real racetrack"

Also at the platinum level don't you have to sell them your sole, and only race WRG/WoO events unless they give you special permission to race somewhere else

Well, not exactly. Schatz was awarded 1 lap due to interference. The qualifier previous to Schatz didn't make it off the track when he was suppose to, and was still on the track when Schatz attempted to qualify. They called interference and in accordance with the rules, they awarded Schatz one more lap. Unfortunately for Kinser, Schatz adjusted his line an took quick time away from him. Kinseer threw a fit, and left.

Kinser didn't leave.....he threatened to leave.
Schatz maybe was interfered with, but unless it's to where the officials see it in real time and react prior to them finishing their session, the driver has to complain at the scales to get another lap.
I remember watching it on TV, IMO, Schatz wasn't interfered with, but I'm not an official and wasn't there....

True however, as per the original point about biased officiating....so far we have one accusation of something that may or may not have been biased almost 8 years ago. Sounds like a rampant problem to me.

Are you serious? We're talking about a sanctioning body that had top drivers who left and started their own series not once, but twice. USA in 1989 and the NST in 2006. Let us not forget, last year at this time, the talk of the town was the Renegade Series vs. The ASCoC. Sprint car drivers are usually not shy about voicing their concerns whether it be officiating, track prep or anything else they don't like. The fact is, the WoO as they currently sit, have their shit together. Are they perfect? No not at all but according to every driver I've ever talked to, they do things the right way when it comes to being fair.

Just curious howv many times has a non Outlaw been penalized for jumping compaired to the Outlaws ? I know that in 2013 Schatz clearly jumped the start ar the Brad Doty race and it was not called.
And sometimes they are very lucky to have the pill draw go their way!

I agree, didn't seem to interfere much.

They So you guys came up with 2 questionable issues with the woo in the entire history of the series, seems pretty straight to me. Was Kinser in the WOO in 1993, if he was the whole Schatz interference thing is a mute point. The pill draw thing is just hilarious. Please explain why the WOO would want to give the drivers that are already going to be at every race an advantage with the pill draw. You guys just don't get it, the WOO does not make its money on the 11 guys who race with them, it is in their best intrest to make it as fair as possible so that all the other drivers will come and compete with them, if only 11 drivers show up for a Woo event chances are they won't be getting a date at that track the following year. If that happens enough they will go bankrupt. So please somone explain to me why they would fix things for their drivers?

Ok so once in 2013 Schatz got to jump a start, Wow, if that isn't proof I don't know what is, Maybe the WOO is only trying to help Schatz because God knows he needs help. I see questionable starts every weekend at every track, if someone I like jumps and gets away with it, its great, but If someone noone seems to like, like Schatz, jumps and gets away with it it's fixed. Again I ask, why in the hell would they purposely allow Schatz get to jump a start. The WoO is a business, they make decisions based on making the most money, Someone, anyone please explain how it would benefit the WoO to let Schatz get a jump, most fans want to see him lose, if anything it would make sense to let a local jump a start to help him win to please the local fans. The WoO got spanked quite a few times this year, and believe it or not that's good for the WoO, because fans and drivers know when they come to their town they have a chance. If the WoO won ALL the time, few drivers would race against them and few fans would come to the show. Dollars and cents, that's all it about.

Dean Jacobs Frigidaire 1f, do believe he set fast time & was DQ'd because somone seen that his nose wing was 1 inch farther forward than it should have been. From the tower.
Butch Schroeder more times than I can count. Remember 1 night they DQ'd him at Eldora for something next thing I know Daughtery & team were walking by as they loaded up the car & said piss on it.

What? What did Butch Schroder do more times than you can count. Did you acidentally post on the wrong thread, because I can't figure out what point your trying to make given the context of this thread.
